Yeah, 2 Moderators have just left the team & now no one is moderating the Graphics Forum;

http://www.habboxforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=31

And only 1 person moderating the whole of the general forum;

But theres super moderators who mod all?

The Super Moderators work very hard to assure that the Forums are kept clean, and at the moment I feel the distribution of Moderators is fine even though there are very few.

There's still super mods and admins.

A valid point as well, but the truth is that I don't feel we need many more Moderators at this point in time. I think perhaps applications could open and just a small few selected as this is a far more fair way of selecting members (rather than just on recommendation).

Yes i hope they do open, as i have reported lots of posts recently and it could help me :D

Why don't you just say 'open mod apps now'.

Breakfloor

Erm, because thats not my point? :rolleyes:

Doesn't make a differance, I have reported posts for ages, not because of wanting to be a moderator, just because I have, yet I havn't been chosen, its just the odd person with a 100% clean record. ;)

Reporting posts does make a difference to wether you are selected or not - it doesn't mean that if you report posts you will deffinatley become a Moderator, however it would help you in the selection process.

The number of posts you have reported on a regular basis, your behaviour around the forum, your attitude towards other members, and your record are all taken into account when being offered a trial.

So dont just think its based around reporting rule breaking posts.

i think there is more than enough moderators.

super moderators count as two moderators tbh cos they have allot more powers and can mass move threads etc and we have like 9-10 admin i think. giving more moderators, moderator powers would just cause them to abuse there power and infract people for bugger all as we have very little rule breaking now.

Yeap. As we are moving to an all smod system, we will slowly be phasing out less active moderators and promoting those that are more active :).

If it seems like we need more moderators, we will definitely hire a few :).

Thanks

I have to disagree.
All you have to do is report many rule breakings on a consistent, long period of time and eventually you could get recommended. I spent ages trying to get the job as Forum Moderator again but after all of it I was asked if I wanted the job and I kindly obliged. :8

All infractions end at some point so quite a lot of users have the chance if they put the effort in.
I don't like applications - I think the recommendation system is fine. :)

To be honest I agree with the recommendation system as if applications come out lots of people could just apply whereas you can see easier who would be right for the job if current moderators see that they are generally doing a good job rather than people just applying for the sake of it?

e5..

tbh, if everyone was good on this forum, there would be no 'reporting' anything, therefor no mods via people reporting posts ( I DO know it's not just done off that, but it does help )

There is one, just the forum manager doesn't take note of them.

Why apply, the system is corrupt anyway.
