I totally agree with that article to be honest.. :) I agree things could become too glossy and too much aimed toward looking good and could ruin the users experience.

Web 2.0 is all about usability etc.. I can understand what this article means because its about people trying to create the next iconic site etc but in essence Web 2.0 can only increase usability and interactivity.

Web 2.0 doesn't exist so any article's posted on it are wasted.

Bah, tis a load of hogwash. The Bad designers just design bad web 2.0 websites, the Good Designers design good web 2.0 websites. Nothings changed but the addition of web 2.0
Useing Web 2.0 concept dosnt effect how good a design is, there are still good and bad layouts, those who created good layouts before continue to maintain the work for web 2.0 style work. Those who didnt, just give the shoddy stuff theyve always done a shiney new coat.

Ah people these days so stupid.

A design is a design, web 2 is classed as inteferance so the design is about cleansity with the features i.e ajax which makes it "web2" doesnt matter about the design that much aslong as it isnt filled with tables and pure ugly.
