I suggest that you have a group called Senior Members, which people who haven't exactly deserved the position of moderater yet, but do make a lot of sensible posts and is respected around the community are placed in. ;)

There are the star system

So if you are a plat or ruby star you have more experience.

And your reputation and join date are shown too

I can never turn down a group, plus i thinks i qualify, i have one account rated as full platinum stars (mentor) and this ones almost in to platinum itself lol.
Plus, i like to believe the majority of my posts are relivent and useful, at least to some.
Also in purely the senior part, ive been here years... literary...

If not, as a random idea thats likely bound to fail, maybe a forum just for the platinum ranked members or something like that could be added, so everyone could enjoy being elitist for a few minutes before noticing hardly anyone uses that forum and its boaring... much like i expect the current vip one probably is like "/

Yeah.

Plat should just count as the senior member group

Also it would draw away from VIP money maybe

I might not have fully sensible posts, but I have been here ages, bought VIP for along time.

I am going on almost 3 1/2 years.

I dont see how it would be anti vip, because vips could also get the Senior member rank, and all the normal vip features as well, i dont really see any cross over.

They need to add more stars to that really, because if I had no vip I'd have the 5th Platinum star, which is the end - I've had that for aaaaaages now.

If it was the rank you get after the 5th platinum star I cant see a problem with it. Maybe you earn your own subforum?

^^^ sounds good to me. however I can't think of another metal above platinum that could be another rank. and anyway someone would reach that and then ask for another new one.

The user ranks are basically that.

They are proving that you have been on here longer and know more about it! and POST more which means you are more LOYAL
