Well i've been thinking this for about 1 year now and it IS going to happen.

What is Habbo Hotel™ closes? Your screwed all that money you've spent all that Habbo Club™ all them credits. I dont want any stupid awnsers like "na it wnt m8 coz der so rich"

Everything has to close at one point no matter what it is. And if it closes then re-opens about 1 year later i would highly doubt they would keep all the names/credits you bought into there systems. Just think some people spend in the regain of £1000 on furniture/credits imagine how pist they would be. Even if they are rich it cant stay open for ever. It may get passed down to people Bought/Sold but its inevitable it will close down one day. Would it matter if it closed 10 years from now? Or even 100 years you'd still loose all that time and all that money were you could be out playing with your friends? Making new friends?

All I'm asking is just to think about it.

Thanks
Calum

VERY good point, but for now, and for a few years yet, it'l be open.

You could say the same with online casino's, Runescape, EVERYTHING online.

Thing is, half of us wont be playing still in 5 years time, so it wont matter to us anyay :]

ALSO, if Habbo wanted to scrap the hotel for a 3D one, for instance, then im sure a collective group of Habbo's will chip in to keep the old Habbo alive, I know I would.

yes like when runescape classic changed to runescape 2 you had 2 weeks to transfer your charecter and all their items.

It's pathetic that people spend hundreds on pixel furniture, if it closed down I wouldn't be bothered, I've never spent nothing on it so idc.

Don't play it much anymore so wouldn't matter. I'd care more about the forums closing down than Habbo it's self.

Closure of Habbo won't happen for a while.

I wouldn't really care, i have spent quite a bit on it, but i don't really give, it's like paying for tickets at a carnival or for a movie, it's only temporary.

People say they haven't spent anything on it.

What about the hours you've spent playing it?
You can make money quite easily.
Time, however, cannot be bought back.

Cadburys Chocolate has been around since 1824 and hasn't closed who knows maybe Habbo could become a house hold name and last this long.

One point, a lot of the people saying they haven't spent money on habo have forum VIP... And if habo closed the forum would lose a LOT of users and would probably shut

Stop acting all indifferent on the subject, jesus, 'I wouldn't care' of course you would! One day, you'l want to come back to it, to remenise. Or to see how its getting on/ how your FR's are getting on, (if they're online.)
And ***, stop bad mouthing Habbo, 'I dont play it anymore', good for you, want a medal? Why bother staying on here apart from clinging on to the shred of status you have, move on to another forum, this ones for HABBO. Jesus.

to be honest, everyone would go to retros.
Just to keep the memory on, probably most of them who say they won't miss it. They'll head onto retros.

Wouldn't bother me too much since I haven't played in a very very long time and I haven't spent too much money on it. It'd be kinda sad I guess, since I met a lot of people on there and it was my favorite thing to do for a couple years. Oh well, I still talk to a couple of my good friends from Habbo.

It will be like a few of those multiplayer online fps. They will die out and lose players when something comes along and beats them or when the owners occupy themselves with something else.

They'll sell it to another company who doesn't have a clue how to run it and it will shut down. I'm not going to be happy when that day comes if I still play.

True but they might teach them how to run it

Actually, if they shut down, you don't get any refund - and you agreed not to have a refund when you signed up.

9.2 Sulake UK Ltd reserves the right, at any time, and from time to time, to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice, and Sulake UK Ltd accepts no liability to you or any third party as a result.

Basically they can discontinue the service permenantley, and they accept no liablity of lost credits or furniture.

You can't win.

So with the habbo rules, we are actully paying them for their own stuff... thats like going into a sweet shop and giving the shopkeeper £3 and walking out with nothing, I've quit habbo, but if they ever close. I will buy them, Yes I know it sounds sad But I will start a business/ or w/e come rich and buy sulake. I will keep all the staff, £30+ pay added on their wages. No I wouldn't hide behind walls. I would come and say hello to the users. And those who feel they wouldn't want to play habbo I would send them a refund of just £30 if they have payed over that on their account.

You think you'll have enough money to buy sulake? That is laughable.

An online game dosn't close when it looses players, it closes when it stops making a profit.
