well, that has 265mb RAM. that's like msn + habbo = crash.

and yeah you can get a RAM upgrade.

if you download a lot of things or have loads of files then it wnt be good as it only has 40gb hardrive.

is that ok

not all running at once though, maybe habbo and youtube once, msn another etc

It's not very good. The RAM is rubbish, I have about 900MB RAM, and that's not great!

The HDD isn't much, 40GB, mine's 103GB and I've used 30GB.

Get it if you wish.

i never did. they told me to look on comet, currys etc. for a laptop which i wanted and they would tell me how much extra i would have to pay. otherwise they gave me a laptop with no extra cost. the laptop they chose was 3x better than my old laptop and i didnt pay anything extra.

but thats with my insurance company and i guess all are different. well mine and yours anywayz.

The RAM. The more RAM the better, if you have lots of RAM you can have may programs open, and they'll be fast, with a low amount of RAM you can't have too many programs open and they might be slow.

the insurance company doesn't give you anything you want, they would have put a $$ value on your laptop and now they are trying to settle with you. what specs were your old laptop?

indian8132
26-05-2007, 03:08 PM
The insurance are offering only this laptop, and we have to pay £100 aswell for some reason, but they didnt say anything about giving us the money and I wish I known I could have done that earlier but we accepted it yesterday and they delivering it on Tuesday, but can I get a ram upgrade and how much would that be, and would it make it better

Metric.
26-05-2007, 03:13 PM
if you accept money it'll less than the laptop's value.

+Rep to whoever answers the fundimental question -

If I get a RAM upgrade, will it be good again, and how much would it cost approx.

almost all RAM is different, and usually quite expensive depending where you buy it from. I think the only way to find out what RAM the laptop has is by opening it up, using The Crucial Memory Advisor Tool, or using a program like CPU-Z.

I think the laptop will run fine for a while until you need a RAM upgrade. My old desktop runs on 256 Ram and it's fine, I can even play games on it.
