You know people say that your blood is actually blue but turns red once it's exposed to oxygen?

how can this be prooved as your blood cells carry oxygen?


Pretty random question but it was something me and my mates were talking about yesterday.

Blood is never blue, its ether red or dark red. Deoxigneated blood is only drawn blue in text books so it dosnt confuse stupid people.

Only red blood cells have anything to do with oxigen, and the rest of the blood, is still blood. Also when blood passes through an organs capillaries, its oxigen content is removed to power the said organ. Although in true within the body the red blood cells are never completely without oxygen content, they just have very little on there way back to the lung.
But regaurdless of oxigen content, blood is still blood o.0
