- How much smarter Britain as a country is.
- How many enemies America has made of the years and England has fairly good relations with (Russia, some parts of China and Korea)

If America were dumb enough to declare war on allies (granted, they have shot, blasted and missiled allies before in wars, because they do not know what a UN flag looks like), there is no doubt that countries in the EU, particularly France, would try to come to some agreement. If America are too death hungry and do go to war, then they will surely lose. America is a big country, but Europes intelligence and large amount of countries, incl. Russia, would deffinately hold back and possibly wipe out the person/persons who came up with this strange and irrational idea.

But you fail to see that Britain is allied with Europe with the EU? They would go to war to preserve the peace, which this made up War Hungry America seems to not like? Even if Britain was blown to bits, if other countries stopped America, then Britiain will still have won because they were apart of that war. Then you have to remember that a large number of the US has residents with some British, French, Russian, Scottish, Italian, Spanish background so a civil war would be possible.

Your still ignoring the most important factor, the Uk and US are nuclear powers. Nether country could invade the other successfully without incurring nuclear wrath from the other. It doesn't really matter how big a country is, once its been destroyed once, its fecked, the fact the US could desroy the uk more times than the Uk could destroy the us therefor isnt really an advantage.

i believe European law would force all member-states to act on behalf of an invaded country within it so, apart from dealing with the forces directly under eurpoean control, the US would still effectively be declaring war on all its member-states as well, meaning the entirety of the Europeans military might would go against the US, and working as a single entity the EU's own military power would be far larger than that of the Us's on its own.

China on its own has more resources and man power than the US. Eurpoe as a collective is also in a similar situation. Wars are not simply 1 on 1 affiras theres alot of polatics that goes on, although the US may have the advantage one on one, chances are international treaties will leave the US at war with mulitple partys which together would easly push back any US advances.


And again, man power is pretty much irrelevant to the question anyway, Nuclear weapons are the real issue in such a conflict, and MAD would be a certainty. (MAD as in mutually assured destruction in case anyone is wondering)
