The 'X' Office! (The X Project)

Okie my mate Drew (IDrew) told me to make an X office, like Roboevil's Habbox Office, so with MUCH persuation by him, i made one.
Okie this took me about 2 days to make, please tell me if you like it.

There isn't much effort put into it.
This is noticable by nothing having a shadow and most things being copy and pasted throughout the whole room even when it's quite obvious they should not be there like the laptops and some chairs

Thats pretty good EmoGilly, I've seen some of your alts already and you are becoming a bit of a prodigy when it comes to alterations now. This piece is no exception to my comment, it's well made and whoever said about Roboevil's alt, yes they're very similar but for the fact that they had to look the same otherwise well, it wouldn't be Habbo Hotel.

There are NO shadows at all and things that could easily have been rotated by someone who wanted to put some effort in have not been. For example, chairs facing random ways, aswell as the laptops really look out of place, who has a laptop that faces the wall and a chair that is facing another different way. It's clear he/she has made only a few things and copy and pasted them all through it without even thinking.
I've never seen a place with so many random boxes. It needs a lot of work.

if i have to be really honest with you, its good but it needs to be made more office-like, at present it sorta looks half way between a staff room and a storage room

rather than describe where they are, ive edited the screenshot to point out what im talking about...see below...


1) this laptop is facing the wrong way, either try to rotate it to face the right way, which in this case is rotating it 90deg anticlockwise or getting rid of it all together if thats not possible.

2) same as 1) but get the screen to face the direction of the naked person

3) this to me just looks stupid. common sense would tell you that this chair needs to face into the room, i dont see why someone would have nor want to climb over some boxes to sit on a chair

4) along with the laptop next to it this pet bowl doesnt belong here, it looks...odd

5) another randomly positioned chair....it has no real use, it should either be behind one of the desks or gotten rid of.


6) no sign of a coffee machine...yet the place is filled with it :S

heres some possible improvements to make:

- change it so that the things i mentioned above are fixed, it will look a lot better

- try to include a few more of the Xs, maybe add redtiz in somewhere aswell

- add a coffee machine

- add some more seats, at present the number of people outnumber the number of available seats by 4:1

Right click and select properties. It won't be in Mb thought as it's not that big.

I have to agree. The one thing I noticed was he used the same position twice. One with the person running in the door, the other with the green t-shirt wearing person on the stairs. It's really noticeable and makes Copy and Pasting really obvious. Oh and the furthest right stairs have a little problem... they're going around the wall when they should be going through the wall. Look again. HUGE perception problem there.

But he didn't mention anything of what you said? He said "needs more shading and isometric". 1.) I thing there's enough shading already. (Unless he meant shadows which then would be a valid point although I doubt it sicne he's like 10 years old? :rolleyes:) 2.) I don't think he even knows what ismoetric is let alone know how to use it himself.
I can see what you mean by the random positions of objects but these can easily be fixed so I don't see why there's such a big deal about this. If you look around the habbo alterations forum, this would probably be better than half the things in there tbh, with immature spammers posting 2-year old 'alterations'. Here is a random example of something in his alt. If it wasn't shaded it would probably look something like Number 1 rather than Number 2. And sure it's not the best of shading I've seen, but it's probably better than my shading - and more importantly, better than yours.

I didn't say I agreed with the part about the lack of isometric design, in fact I disagree with his point about that but I do agree with the lack of shading/shadows and perhaps the amateur-ness because as you can see if you look at it for long enough there are only a few unique objects that are copy and pasted throughout the room. The random directs of laptops and chairs just because 'it was easier' is a sure sign of little effort. I'm trying to give CC and just because its not sunshine and butterflies you shouldn't be spitting the dummy over it. I'm sure EmoGilly, as I know is quite motivated with pixel art will take on board what I've said.
