View Full Version : New rules.

These rules will be a nice addition to the forum rules. A lot of people do this and its annoying.

If you wish to complain about a member of staff then please PM their superiors. If a user creates a thread, the user will be infractioned, and the thread closed. This is to avoid arguments which are caused.

If you wish to contact a member (staff) then please use the PM system instead of making a thread. This will be classed as a pointless post / spam. The thread will be closed and the user punished accordingly.

If you are cautioned, then the two rules mentioned about still apply. Caution'ed users cannot use their PM system as a punishment. Trying to dodge their punishment in any way will lead to a longer caution / ban. If you wish to use your PM system, then dont break the rules.

Yea, but rarely anyone follows it. The thread Catzsy made for sierk was pointless. "Just for sierk" - PM him instead :s

And i know why, because via PM staff dodge questions you put to them and 'brush it under the carpet'.

If I wanted to be a moderator, I wouldn't have resigned as a Super Moderator. Since when is posting ideas classed as "sucking up"?

Depends which staff you are contacting. I have complained about a few staff to sierk, and he replies and doesnt "brush it under the carpet". But some staff do.

Nvrspk4 deals with staff permissions, not me. I believe he was contacted about it as well as myself so I left it to him as its his job not mine :). You can ask nvrspk4 if you like.

Its because its a specific question for Sierk and this the Help/Questions/Comments forum for Habbox Forum. I agree that the FM hardly ever answers the questions put to him thats why I made the thread. This forum is based on the premise of free speech as far as I am aware and I am not breaking any rule by posting it. Thanks=]

But whats the point in the PM system if you only want an answer from sierk on that thread?

But whats the point in the PM system if you only want an answer from sierk on that thread?

Because he says this in his signature:

I usually read all threads in the main part of the Questions / Comments about Habbox forum.

I feel this is a matter of what is considered to be 'free speech' on the forum and whether in fact threads of this nature should be closed and therefore should be on the public forum. He is the only one that can give a definite answer but it is a subject that is not personal or a complaint about anybody. It is just asking him to clarify a statement of policy about closing threads which is of interest or not as the case maybe to the forum in general.

If it is open there is a possibility that it could be removed from the forum if there was a great deal of rule breaking etc.

Thats all I have to say on this and it is only me that can look stupid at the end of the day as well. Thanks=]

It says in his sig that it's best to post things on the forum rather than PM him..

If a user is cautioned by mistake then how else would they ask about it?

Nice ideas :D

A few days ago, in a thread I am sure you would have read, sierk said "I am busy with work and don't have much time to read and post on the forum."
Thread: http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=354378

"If you have any questions that are not for me personally it's best if you post them on the forum. Thanks."

PM him instead :)

Those rules would help indeed, Don't let this turn into the same thread again I'm sick of reading it as I'm sure many other forum members are.

Thanks for this advice which you have given me more than once in this thread and I have given the reasons why not. I am happy with what I am done and will live with that. As Mat says people are probably getting fed up reading the same things so lets get back to the discussions about the new rules that you suggest. Thanks=]
