People said I should send it into a record company? Because.. apparently you get payed quite a bit..

Anyway, the song is called "Models" and I am aliveandkickings sister.. I wanted to go on his account and ask if you think it is a decent song? The song is about girls who look too pretty and fall for the men who pretend their rich.. yet they can be strong.. Here it is!

I see her in a short skirt, then I see a pervert (no guesses why)
Caked up in orange fake tan, looking for a one time man..
She's got a nice set of teeth
Wanting a little bit of beef (oo hot)
I know what she wants, what she needs..

[CHORUS]

There all the same, they get the blame
Looking to hot when they think they're not
The generation changed around, but they wont go
They dont pull any loose strings, they put up.. a fight!
Cause they models.. cause it's true, it could even be you!

I see a one-time man, holding a girls hand..
She thinks she's got a wealthy man, going to a rich land
She's got a nice set of teeth
Wanting a little bit of beef (oo hot)
I know what she wants, what she needs..

[CHORUS]

There all the same, they get the blame
Looking to hot when they think they're not
The generation changed around, but they wont go
They dont pull any loose strings, they put up.. a fight!
Cause they models.. cause it's true, it could even be you!

Duh duh, duh duh, duh duh duh, duh duh duh duh
Duh duh, duh duh, duh duh duh, duh duh duh duh

She hasn't got any spice, she dosn't even seem nice
She hasnt got any spice! SHE DOSN'T EVEN SEEM NICE!

[CHORUS]

There all the same, they get the blame
Looking to hot when they think they're not
The generation changed around, but they wont go
They dont pull any loose strings, they put up.. a fight!
Cause they models.. cause it's true, it could even be you!

One thing I can say is that record companies get thousands of dreamers like you sending them stuff. I'm not saying it's impossible but you need to have something really special to get noticed. That aside, It's really nice lyrics, topical aswell which is what I like. I hate countless songs about the same girl or boy who broke your heart.

What genre is the song?

You've got a backing track and stuff though right? You usually don't get signed with one written song.

Sam's right y'know - I've wrote sets of lyrics for 12 songs, but obviously if you want to get signed you need like a band or a backing track or w/e.

I've personally wrote a handful of complete songs (yet to go with my band however) and I know a few other bands in my school who have lots of songs. Usually you need an album's worth of songs if you want to get signed.

Yeah - there's a band called Mumm-Ra, and before they even released their first 7" vinyl, they'd released 2 EPs worth of songs (about 8 songs each).
Whether you can class them as mini-albums I don't know...
(post ends abruptly because I forgot what I was going to say)

Arctic Monkeys did the same thing before they were signed.
