Of course it's a business but just recently you've been able to tell they're going for that little bit extra. Since the users dropped they've been releasing new versions as fast as possible and they've also been releasing rares like mad, and theyre blatantly making decent profits off it and you can tell they just want more.

The reason why Sulake are doing all of this is to mainly get more users, if they didn't do all of this user numbers will continue to drop which means less money.

It's not good news for companys when users are leaving.

Callie was hated, it's because Sulake have acted to late to start updating the game, that's why no generations of kids are joining up because it's 'outdated' or has a bad reputation for being boring and childish.

They are trying very hard to hang on now, maybe Sulake will suceed?, I think a advert campaign in the UK would do good.

Habbo advertisement on channels like Cartoon Network and BB1 would do Sulake some good :)

Indeed, she was most definitely hated. I found her very boring as an HM and she rarely talked to members of the hotel like Jibbi, ione and Lost_Witness do/did.

I'm not fussed with the release of the DJ Deck, it's an item of furniture, to furnish a room. Some people need to realise that, trading isn't its main objective ;)

No they don't. Sulake basically watches the hotel and tell's Habbo what to do if something goes wrong or if they need there numbers up. It's the HM's job to control the competitions. Sulake tell them what to do rarely, basically it's Chris's job & office staff to run the community events.

Of course they need to go through Sulake first though. If your working as a designer your not just going to start your own project on a massive builiding without consulting your boss :rolleyes:

From my perspective, Habbo UK is losing players fast, as a matter of fact, all hotels are. Habbo is getting boring, nothing new is coming out. Players are getting sick of the same old content, now with Retro's and stuff we can look up in the externals what rares are coming, it's not even a suprise anymore. Half the staff barely do anything, Lost_witness is on holidays half the time, they bring out crap rares which don't need to be brung out. The competitions are so crap, prices of everything are falling because of the lack of interest in the hotel. They are hoping trax will be a one-hit-wonder and bring some people back but I fail to see how some lame habbo tunes which a pre-schooler listens to will bring people back. In staff competitions it's usually favorites which wins. The Habbo interface is to intimidating and big for new people to understand, now with Habbo Homes, Groups and everything even I get lost sometimes :P. The only thing I could see Habbo do to get back players is release a Habbo #2 or Beta or something new because if they don't by the end of the year I can see about 4000 at peak times left.

Guys when you talk about members of habbo hotel, You do have to realise since lost_witness joined its been harder and harder to have clones. So maybe thats why there aren't many users.

I'm sure there weren't 6,000 clones on, most members never knew how to clone.

"HM's" are there to run the events given to them by sulake, they can suggest there own ideas but sulake have to approve them, being a HM is a hard job most of think its easy because you've ran retros or helped run a retro stop being so hard on chris and helen they are doing fantastic jobs!

We can see Sulake are starting to worry abotu falling visitor numbers, it does seem to me that the 'magic' in Habbo is gone, not because of Lost_Witness it's because of Retros and things taking to long to be released examples being New Iced, we waited about 3 months for that.

Sulake need to start a worldwide campaign, TV adverts and radio adverts and they need to perhaps add things like the ability to have your own picture on your homepage like MySpace.

Managers don't really matter, the USA hotel has had tonnes of furni and comps and still numbers continue to fall.

Granted, they could hide the texts, but there must be some reason as to why they don't. You say you are bored with the same old content? The towns/citys idea would make Habbo one of the biggest Online Games I think.

If numberskeep falling I can see Sulake perhaps selling the brandHabbo and maybe another company will expand the game into a Village/City with all different things to do like go and fight in the mountains (Like Runescape) and perhaps have things like horse racing, go karts, fairs etc.

Indeed, I remember back when Jibbi was HM, all the staff were entertaining and you could relate to each of them, and pick a favourite. Nowadays you would just pick the HM or the one you most know, while back when Jibbi was around, you could identify and know a little about the staff. Like with the newsie you would get little snippets of info, like Dionysus was a ninja, Glitterkat likes cats and Jibbi... Was Jibbi...

I've not really got a problem with them to be honest, you can get your favourite furniture in your favourite colour to match your room. But I think a wider selection of a type of furniture is needed, not just a variety of colours with a specific type of furniture.

The quoted bit "Yeah, but you can still show the earnt badges" wasn't what I was going to say. To be honest, I really dislike the large amounts of badges. All Habbo need are:

HC Badges
Staff Badges
Habbo eXpert Badges

The rest should be strictly temporary really, for during the event and maybe a week or 2 afterwards. People would get bored of that "special" badge and the novelty would soon wear off.

The group idea was good before it was released, but too many people made groups and most of them are useless. Maybe Habbo should of distributed the idea to people who really needed them, like fansites, but how they would do that is beyond me.

The connection they have with staff is probably because they join in alot. It would be rude if the staff didn't talk to them. If Habbo give them a bigger chance of winning a competition, then that is just unfair but you can't really do anything about it. You just have to put up with it really. Sadly.
I find people calling Staff by their real names extremely frustrating too :P If the Staff member actually puts up on the main site or his mission "Call me Chris" then you can personally relate to him in some way, but if they don't, then calling them by their first name because you think you are cool, and best mates, is kinda sad. Because in reality, they care very little for you.

True it would be a big project, but if they do it right it would be amazing. I would even return just to see what it is like! They can use the feature with big public rooms that take up two rooms with this idea, to go to another area, just click the arrow. But it would be in private room scale, not public room. But that's just me using my imagination :P

That's still a mindset they have I think. They still think most of us are innocent 11 year olds who love Habbo the way it is and just want everything to be the same. I would say 60% of users are 15 or older, and a lot of them are growing out of Habbo. The whole cartoon issues, the way they treat us like 5 year olds. A good example is the mothers day poem "Show your Mum just how much you love her on Habbo" I mean come on, they really need to find something to keep the older people attached.

I agree that all Hotels should get things released at the same time, I'm bored of Romantique furni and we don't even have it yet ahahhaa. Same with Trax, I know they have to test it but .FI and .NL have had it months now :$ When we get the version we are made to wait even longer, which is lame. Anyone remember the vote they had in Callie's era to get one fo the supers released, it was between the DISCO! and the DJ and the Golden Habbo Disc thing, DJ's went down loads, and then rose again suddenly.

This IS an interesting topic, and I also like applying it to Politics and Pshycology.

Lets be honest the hotel is getting better politically in some senses, its becoming more socialist, people are becoming equal, but its only slightly happening. THERE WAS a huge divide between the rich and poor, but now its settling down, it will get better, and people will care more about friends again. Which is what its "all about".

You are buying an image, and I think you have to realise that the image will go up and down in price just like the stock market, look at it as a share, never look at it as a realy thing. And bare in mind this is a "price" not a price.

Back to politics, its not very democratic, but I think Hobbas were a good representation of the habbo users public and almost made a democracy, there were a small representation of the entire population of habbo and they had a bit of power.

I always said and mentioned several time to habbo through the habbo help tool that we should have hotel guides (what are now habbo x's (I never got credit but im sure this idea was adopted by many) and I always said IN CONJUNCTION with hobbas. My main reasoning for this was that there was a Hobba age limit, and the X's could help people too and I know what Im saying makes no sense, but atleast I know what Im trying to say.

Firstly i think that Habbo should release the DJ deck and make some people realize that furniture isn't everything. Also i dislike it when people call staff by the real names too :P And i like the ideas about the new Habbo world and things. But what i think would be a good idea is to have an international airport, if you wanted to go visit another foreign hotel then you could, buy things from the duty free range, different furniture that hasn't been released on your hotel yet. :-D
