Does anyone else think that they just aren't funny any more in their new episodes? I think that's why they are flying through and are on, like, their 410th show or whatever. I'm starting to hate it now but I want to know what you think.

i must admit, i hardly watch the simpsons now mainly due to not as much time but also i agree in it not being as funny which may be due to rushing to make more episodes to become the most episodes show and beat this programm, i can't remember what its called, or it might be due to i've grown out of it although its meant to be for a family audience.

Well I haven't watched it in ages due to Sky One being cut off but I have to agree with the newer episodes I've seen.

I can imagine people going to see it and then only 1 person who hasnt even watched simpsons before laughing the whole way through while everyone's scowling. [:

The Simpsons are ok, not as funny as a lot other other shows. I am looking forward to the movie, I am pretty sure it will be good.

I don't know, i'll still find them funny. I think it's just if you watch something loads of times you get bored of it.

Normally, i watch it religiously on channel 4 at 6pm - although i've probably seen them all anyway :eusa_wall

I haven't been able to watch newer episodes of simpsons (Virgin Media) but the funniest new one I remember had a bit when Homer was in the bathroom, Bart walked passed and saw Homer trying to feed his stomache a pizza he sees Bart and says "it's not what it looks like, go away" or something along them lines, I thought that was hilarious xD I wouldn't say they're getting less funny, I just think the audience has expanded so much they have to include a bit of everything from kiddie things and jokes that the younger people can understand and a few dirty jokes that are well concelled but the older audience are able to see it, if you're getting bored of it then it could just be you're not understanding the jokes aimed towards your age group

havent watched a new one in ages cos i have VM, and the ones on channel 4 are always ones i've seen. I tend to watch family guy now, its quite funny.

its not that bad.
but when you think that they've done over 400 episodes it'll be hard for them to come up with completely new ideas. Yeah, you may not laugh every couple of minutes but theres usually at least one laugh out loud moment in each.
