Ok, so it started out with just 3 rares. Now there's approx. 270. I remember when it used to be an event to go into a room and see a rare, now with all the recolours I think it would take me a while to find 10 rooms without one, with more than 10 people in..

Are rares rare anymore?
Would it be a good idea in the long term if habbo released all of their 'junk' rares?
How many rares do you think we will have before they stop releasing them?

Approx. Numbers:
35 HC Rares
70 Normal Rares
29 Super Rares
56 Seasonal Rares
80 Miscellaneous Rares

Are rares rare anymore?I think they are, give them a while and they are harder to find.
Good examples are Red Dragons and Screens.

Would it be a good idea in the long term if habbo released all of their 'junk' rares? No, because the chances are that more will buy if they come out one by one. I don't agree with Recolours as 'junk', I think they give choice and will one day be worth a lot.

How many rares do you think we will have before they stop releasing them? They won't stop releasing them, they make good money and people enjoy rares.

i doubt it, before the weekly recolours rares were cool (remembers being amazed at HC plasto)
They will probably just recolour the old junk, shove a fancy competition over it and make it special for about a week as per usual
They wont stop releasing, until they stop makiing money off of them.

your right rares aint rare maybe supers should become rare and habbo bring out a new rare for 2 mins so it would be better

and make all rares at the moment norms

bringing out the petal patch again is probably the stupidest thing ever, al lthe richies who had rooms full of petal floors and they are worth less now. Other hotels get new rares, we get a lot of recoulers and re-releases

If you like many of us, had Gold Ice Creams etc and they suddenly became Normals, how would you feel? - Because I don't think the public would like it.

It was a clever move by Sulake in a money making way, I think Sulake have caught onto the 'Garden' theme by making the Bamboo Patch as a second petal.

Aloe Veras, Thrones, Samovars, Hologirls, Nellys were all once considered crap - Look at them now/last summer

He pretty much summed up was I was going to say, but I shall add to the "are rares rare anymore" question.

By definition and by Habbo terms, a rare is an item of furniture which is little in number and hard to come by. You are thinking about a collection of rares, not a collection of a type of rare ;)

Rares are rare, it can actually take a while to find some of the older rares eg. gold icm, nellys, white screen (I use older in its lightest possible sense ;))

As for the point about re-releases, although it is bad for die-hard traders it does two things: makes more of them about making them easier to come by and lowers the price so less affluent people can make half-decent rooms. Habbo makes money, we have more rares floating about to play with and the die-hard traders will make it all back within a day, so everyones happy.

The basic idea of habbo is room-designing. Rares aid that well and without them most rooms would be passed off as noobish or the such. Rares add a "touch of class" and the more floating about the better.

Its fun there being loads of rares - coz then there are loads of ways of designin your rooms?!

It makes new habbos feel great when they get their first rare. I remember once i gave a mocha as a prize for a t/c and the person was amazed,

the bad thing about everyhabbo having rares is that you cant give small prizes for games anymore and habbos are becoming greedy. you host a game, where as 6 months ago habbos wouldnet really ask this now everytime i host a game i get asked whats the prize, if i dont say a rare people leave.

Rares are not really rares anymore. Rares like the mocha and tub should be norms

It's not the price that decides if it's a rare, it's how it can be obtained.

Catalogue - Norm
Catalogue at certain times/Gifts - Rare
Competitions/prizes only - Super rare

I do not think there are too many rares, some rares are hard to get hold of whilst others are relatively common, this is normally reflected by the guide prices, however this is not always the case, for example there are only between 8 and 9 hundred green pillows of which i have a large percentage of, they are just not as desirable as some other items.

Most rooms have rares in them because trying to make a room with just norms is pretty limited.
