TheHabbos is now under new ownership so I'm guessing they will be loosing their official status? But their's one catch, one of the new owners is the ex-owner :P, Also Ladders and grinning have left habbo. Thehabbos will now become a forum only.
Sorry if you don't CLASS this as news, its an official fansite, Just telling you what I know best :).
Nah it won"t become un-official untill it does something bad.

I'm sure they will keep offical status if the site has been passed on to them , and will loose it if they bought the site?

I still own the site as i have since early 2006.
The site Will keep it's official Status. As I still administrate the site.
Ladders is NOT Grinning, they are brothers.

because the two are so closely linked, it technically means that HabboFM is still official, though not directly

Errr... Only ONE part of a fansite can become Official. As ClubHabbo were told Only the Site can become official, and the Forum couldn't (when they were official).
HabboFM, firstly had a name change, and then You made the Forum Official. The Radio is run as part of The Forum, but is not the Official Part.
It doesn't matter how closely linked sites are, only one which was voted can be Official :P

I can't find any ruling whatsoever which states a fansite cannot be passed on, with full consent of the owner and the habbo staff member managing fansites. If you can find the text which states this is against the rules, please post it. I know that selling a fansite is against the rules and has been done before, however passing on a fansite depending on the circumstances of doing so is usually fine. Finally, Archivist has been on the mailing list for TheHabbos for a good few months now, and therefore is still the fansite owner on pen and paper.

I mean look at AllHabbo, talk about loads of owners?!
If you think about it that rule Callie made was stupid.
If the owners leave, and pass the site onto the next management member, of course it's going to remain Official.

Yeah TheHabbos has been a very good fansite, it's had amazing news in the past (more up to date than else where) recently it's been down a lot though so I can't judge it recently.
It should remain official as long as it's being passed down.
However in my opinion if official fansites are sold on, they should then be deemed unofficial. Since someone in my opinion is getting a easy ride to officialness and a badge. As they say, money can't buy everything and it certainly shouldn't be able to buy the official status.

How can the person who manages fansites be so sure that the fansite was passed down? The buyer could easily say "ill buy it, only if you tell ....... that it got passed down to me." This isn't based at thehabbo's though.

This USED to be the rule back when Callie was hotel manager, as you can see bellow, but site owner changes are now acceptable. :)
Any Official Fansite that changes owners, will no longer be eligible for Official status. Habbo does not support its users selling Furni, Accounts or any other Habbo related items for real money. Due to the exchange of personal information and risk of scamming.
In the past we have been more lenient on this rule and it has caused problems. We will therefore NOT be allowing anymore site ownership changes. Sorry.

Well... If the person who it's passed down to has been on the Fansite's Staff team for a while... then I'm sure Heidster will know.
And Tbh. Fansite owners should respect Habbo's rules and tell them if they sold it, or just passed it down.
