Change the consoles?

Hello,

What do you think about changing the consoles on the skins (for the home page at first, we could then do them for the thread displays) and change them into mail boxes. (like the ones found outside houses). The mail box could have a flag pointing up to show theres a new post, and pointing sideways, just like a normal mail box, when there are no new posts. The mailboxes would off course be Habbo style :).

We have used the consoles for ages now, maybe its time for a change.

What do you think?

If you have better ideas, let us know as well :).

Well I think changing them would be a good thing (the header/banner for example looks even better now) but the mailboxes seem a little cliche maybe? I'm not sure what else though... :S

Offtopic - have there always been thread options @ the bottom or have I just not ever noticed them :o

To me, They are fit for purpose and fit the theme. I don't see why a change is needed as I like the animation that is together with these also.

Wow I'm quite impressed by those achually. Think I'd welcome the change now seeing the replacement. Although, I think the consoles are abit easier on the eyes if there are many forums with new posts as there usually is, But I guess we'll have to wait and see on that.
