If you're 17 you should have a college ID thing (student union card) or if you don't go to college then just pay a fiver for the citizenship jobby.

I got given the worst excuse of an ID card free at school.
The pictures blurry, and where it says signature it prints your name.
Seriously, I could draw a better one and stick a dozen sheets of paper together.
I'd just pay the £5, much easier :P

before i had id with my photo + age on, i used my student card (which had my photo and name) combined with my birth certificate (which has ur name and date of birth)
stil got a lil bit of hassel doin that though, but most places accepted it.

driving license? or a provisional one.. but i think they are like £40 so i'd doubt you'd want one.
if you are just wanting one to say you are over 15 or whatever just use your national insurance thing.

if you have a passport, use that?
a lot of shops and places like that give me hassle over my student ID for uni, because it doesnt display my "age" on it..
each time they try rejecting it, i just tell them "seriously mate, how many under friggin 18s go to uni?" :l
I had the same problem as u... I'm 17 ... 18 soon and I still get Id' for **** (even though I can get into some clubs...)
Any way I just got a provisional driving licence (Yay) but they cost £45 quid now! The only valid Id shops etc will accept, I reckon, is a citzenship card, thigns like NI Card wont work, yes you get it when your 16 but theres no DOB or photo on the card.
Even when you turn 18 though, some clubs don't accept citzenship cards as from my friends experience.

Go to the nearest Town/City hall with a picture. They should be able to make you some ID. Oh, and passports always work for ID..
