Same here :l
It takes ages for him to move one step
I think normal mode is faster than 3 times speed.

I deleted some of other games and it worked a bit faster. Not alot though

i have 1 gb ram and plenty of room on HD and it works perfect for me, i suggest getting more ram to solve your problem, have you got any expansion packs installed?

To run The Sims 2 perfectly you need like a damn good computer. Basically, I doubt your specs are high enough. Even with what the box says, it runs at a pretty slow rate.

There's not much you can do unfortunately.

I got it the day it came out on Sept. 14th 2004 and it took me until two months ago to get it running perfectly, as I got a new PC.

Mine works perfect, got all extension packs aswell.
Only thing that takes along time is loading neighbourhoods/lots, because I have so many of them I guess.

its ur comp specs. if they r crap then the sims will run slowly. upgrade ur ram or if u have expansion packs installed, uninstall them and see what happens.
