So, there are sites that can track your Habbo ID and give you the photo of what it looks like. Why not code one for habbox? Say, When your making a HxF Member, Have a box saying:

Hotel you are registered on? [This will be accquired for the generator.]

Username of your Habbo? [So the generator can grab the Habbo ID].

Then when you are finished registering, check your sig.

This may take a little bit of coding, but I might be able to work out the coding for you guys.

How's it sound to you? :P

It probably would pose too many security risks and Habbox doesn't really favor third party mods on the forum because of that reason.

=] Good idea anyway.

Also your a new member so I am not sure you would be trusted enough anyway :)

What about the none habbo users, who dont really have anything to put there?

Also im confused what it actualy will output? do you mean it to create a sig or what? The codeing behind such a thing is pretty simple, and tons of scripts like it are avaible in the webdesign section on the forum, mostly as sig generators o.0

Why would we need to code one internally when people can quite easily get them off of other sites? :S
Theyre reasonably easy to access externally from other sites and pose no risk to any of Habboxs coding that may occur as a result of providing this feature.
entor raises a good point about non Habbo users, would they be forced to input some information?
Is there a high enough demand for such a feature? Are the majority of active Habbox users adding them to their signatures from other sites?

Hi,

It's quite a security risk. Also, to create it I would have to let the Habbo server(s) through the firewall just like you do when you have to allow a SHOUTcast. Furthermore, We are not a great supporter of mod's on vbulletin, we only have the necessary ones. For me to do this would be like me telling you to turn your favourite television off when your favourtie programme is on, its something you / we don't want to do. If there was to be a major demand (100+ users), then we would re-think it.

You can easily use the habbo sig's and such which are in the web design forums.

We thought about adding a Habbo Home field, but in that field you could put the habbo logout URL which would be annoying. We thought of adding some validation but it would of been pointless.

I agree it is pointless. There are tons of free services etc meant for this "imaging" purpose. I wish I wouldn't have even released that imaging code.

Wouldn't their be some sort of security issue with XSS if this was created? Because unless you use mod-rewrite it would have to use a GET variable?

you take things to ofar tom, big whoop, they use the logout url instead of their habbo home. lolol

Do it so they can only enter their habbo name within 'x' letters. [: Containing 'x' charcaters.

then just link it habbo.co.uk/home/name [: Make the feild only appear if users enter otherwise blank.

I mentioned the validation already. We didn't see these ideas constructive to the forum at the time. If there is more demand, maybe the administration team could re-think them.

Thanks for your input.
