Box under banner is way to big to start, change bg color so its not the same as the main temp color

I like the banner its ace but the rest isnt as nice and doesnt really go with the banner if that makes sense.

I never made the banner, i just needed a banner so i can make the template itself.

what don't you like about it, and how can i improve it?

It's too bulky, the link boxes are too big, and im not too keen on the background colour, it will serve well as the template background but not the page background.
