i find that the semicolon is overused on here, especially in the music forum when stating what you are listening to. GENERALLY SPEAKING, IT'S ANNOYING. i know it's used to make things look neat and tidy, or that it might be a habit, but it's incorrectly used and annoying as hell.

most things are overused on this forum now, along with most people being general annoyances.

you're not gonna stop people from using the same overused expressions, such as "xo" and "tbh" and stuff, so don't moan about it.

A new sentence doesn't mean you start a new paragraph. Your poor return key :(.

ppl can write what they want. aslong as its within the forum rules, no one has the right to tell others how to write. im sure there r loads of other things which r more annoying in life and on the computer than tbh or w.e :/

When it gets taken out of context, it annoys me.
Someone said "Tbh, Shut up".
When someone said "ILEGAL HABBO HOME. FTW"
they're both out of context.

that's the one that ****** me off.
i hate people using it in every bloody sentence or in the song thing.
what was wrong with just writing it like "artist - song name" or w/e, don't see how using a semi colon makes any difference.
it's proper annoying.

This is going a bit off topic but the thing that really gets me is when people don't use or incorrectly use apostrophes, or when they use your to mean you're and so on.

IMHO "imho" or "imo" will be the next internet acronym to come in to wider usage, i mean there all really old school ones anyway, and i tbh, after tbh there aint alot of useful ones to choose form :P

In all honesty i dont really see whats wrong with em in thereself, true its annoying if people repeatedly use the same phrase, if someone starts every sentance with "to be honest" its just as annoying as starting it with tbh. tbh is just a shorter quicker way to do so, saveing ya from haveing to type unessarly.

So im all for internet acronums, although can see the problem when people start turning in to parrorts "/

A sentence that makes me have suicidal thoughts is as follows (usually in the what are you listening to thread):

"tbh i think mcr sucks && they are overplayed.

fftl; emily"

All internet people overuse it. It's a redundancy, if you're stating your opinion then more often than not you're being honest so you don't need to say it. Unless you're a compulsive liar. Same with "IMO I think" blah blah, if it's in your opinion then it's obviously what you think so you don't need to tell us twice. Semi-colons are not colons, so I don't understand why people use them as such. They separate relative clauses, not a statement or description etc.

I use it occasionally, but really, when people use it in excess I don't notice much now, it's became that common.

Simmzay

TBH is personal opinion. It's how you separate someones personal feelings to factual information.

i think its lodged into mai brain to which will end the good conspiracy of life which will make all bloggers and internet beezies use more "computer talk"

Wouldn't people wanting to do that say "imo" (In my opinion) as opposed to tbh (to be honest) ?

If you're saying a fact then it's obviously honest. If you're saying your opinion you'd only need to say: 'I hate this', not 'Tbh, I hate this'. It's just agreeing with yourself where it's not entirely necessary.

I use it.

& if you have a problem with it now, you ain't seen nothing. It was much worse quite recently. I dunno when exactly, but about few months ago everyone was just saying it in every sentence.

I don't mind it in a debate and stuff just now as it has become really commonly used and stupidly used. I'll use Kyle for an example, theres many more. His msn name is "kyle tbh", why not just have it as kyle? Or when people say "tbh i like mcr", why do you need to put tbh there? It's the useless stuff that does my head in, especially used more then once in a sentance.

TBH if you use it once its ok. :P
