Went really well for me. Answerd every question, even though there was 1 I had no clue about. Did OCR intermediate. 2hr Non-Calc, got the Calc next week.

Very good actually. It was the AQA Higher paper. Found it pretty much straight forward apart from questions 13 (Express in terms of pi etc), the surds question with the triangles and the final question on congruent triangles.

I was impressed with how well I did :D
I did Edexcel Intermeditate paper, 2 hours, finished in an hour and then I was like "urrm, bored".
But yeh, very pleased with that one.
did edexcel higher and found it pretty easy and answered every question apart from the sphere and cylinder one... h in terms of x :S
calculator will be hard i suspect :(
Aren't you allowed to leave when your done?
Aren't you allowed to leave when your done?
yeah, i did. but school had already finished anyway but for example before half term i came home at 10:30 am after a tech exam
Aren't you allowed to leave when your done?
No. As apparently you could contact someone from another school and give them answers or something stupid.
I did Edexcel higher today and found it quite easy, I think I did quite well :D!

my school is allowed to leave striahgt after a exam, isn't yours?
do you jsut stay in school then and do revision

Straight after an exam we can, but I think EdHawks meant if you got a two hour exam and finished after an hour could you leave - and you can't, you have to sit there for the full two hours x).

ooh yeah, if he means that then you've got to stay for the time like i wanted to leave after about 1 h 15 in edexcel higher maths today because i finished and checked through 3 times by then ;P in degree exams for a 3 hour one your allowed to leave once finished though

I did higher AQA wasn't that bad, a few tough questions, could of been better.

did aqa higher. was alot easier than i thought it would be going off how hard the practice papers we have been doing in class were.
had no idea on how to do some questions though.. like there was a one about a sphere and a cone and you had to work out the height of the cone by just using the radius of the sphere and the radius of the bottom of the cone.

edexcel int, not that bad

Yeah i didnt understand that i tried though. i know i got the question on reciprocals wrong though because i didnt know what one was. Gutted becaue i put 2/1 instead of 1/2.
Also the one that was on the left of the cylinder q, erm didnt get the answer to part b :(
Omg and also the question that was like pq2-2x-something=x2-2x-fp
didnt know that one either :(
It sounds bad, but i thought id done quite well, as i answered and double checked everything cept the odd few mentioned.
higher paper

I did Edexcel Interm. , I found it quite hard, I don't think I did too well :P maths has always been a weak subject for me anyway xD

higher paper
i think i did same paper as u, i can remember this [edexcel higher]
L-shape surface area - 110cm squared
Hexagon - 150 degrees
Vector (proof question) - because one was 'a' and the other was '2a', they are parallel
Sphere/Cylinder - h=2x (guess thats wrong though, will probably get working marks for being on track though)
Surd question - 1
Multiplying fractions - 3 1/3
Very last graph question - Reflected in the X axis
Similar shapes - 8cm squared, 96cm cubed
grade boundaries will be very high as everyone found it easy

Wasnt the question L shape prism volume?
and errr
Surds i got the same as you
What q was the multipying fractions?
same for very last
Not sure what you mean by similar shapes..

Our school had a window of 5 minutes for people to leave the exam after 1 and a half hours. Was quite annoying because you couldnt concentrate those 5 mins because he went along individual rows -
Ok this row now...Everyone rushing to the front, pushing in chair etc... Gets very quiet...Ok next row...
But id pretty much finished anyway and just needed to stay for another question or two.

I found OCR Higher really hard.
But there were easy questions worth quite a few marks so it was easy to pick marks up, a lot of Module 10 A* grade questions though...

Did Edexcel Intermediate. I feel that it went good but the results could say otherwise -.-. I finished with 30 minutes left but I skipped a few. Can't leave until the allocated time is up :(

i did foundation -thick- LOL.
I did Edexcel Higher. Hopefully I will get my A* as I was only 1/2 a mark off when I did it last year :(
The trick to the one with the cone and sphere is to know how you work out the volume. 1/3xbasexheight and 4/3x[pi]xr2 but you need to substitute the data that you already have into those formulas and then put them equal to each other and work from there.
I didn't like question 26 where you had to use completing the square.
No matter how hard I tried I could not do that simaltaneous equation. I think I kept doing it wrong, but i got 2.5 and 1 (probs wrong)- im talking bout Edexcel Higher.
I <3'd Q 18
Which was 0.45 (recurring) =15/33
n=0.45 recurring.
100n= 45.45 recuring
100n-n= 45
so 99n=45 (DIVIDE ALL BY 3)
33n=15
15/33=n =]
love it
Well of course you loved that q it was easy.
it wasn't easy untill i revised it the night before. I hate it when they say prove because its like prove 0.5 is half of 1. it just is!
btw was the surds one just 1?

surds was 1 for me too, you got simulateneous wrong because it was x = 2.5 and y = -1.
I did my whole GCSE in year 10 and I took the mock in jan in which I didnt revise and we had only done half the work and I got an A* so I suppose I should get one now but I found it alot harder.

I did AQA higher. Easiest paper ever. Answered them all, apart from the second to last question. Turns out I got near the answer but I didnt simplify it :@
