Not impressed. ><. (School / Alton Towers).

Okay so today we planned to go to Alton Towers (been planned for months) part of Leisure & Tourism GCSE so anyway we was going, was at the minibus then I get called back to go get a letter from a teacher saying that I could go because I've got a Product Design exam in the morning but before the halve term I asked my teacher and he said it's okay, he'll give me a re-sit on Wednesday. So then I go get a letter and he doesn't know what I'm on about, head of department comes and then says that I can't go to Alton Towers because I've got this exam so then my teacher comes along and is saying it's an important part of my GCSE however so is my external exam. (Product Design) so then in the end I go and sit the exam but I also mentioned about my friend who is also going (was only a group of 14) that he is meant to be sitting the exam so I kind of dropped him in it as well and spoilt his day :D:D:D.

It's really unfair though, why didn't they tell me this before the halve term surely they must of knew about the exam. Why about 5 minutes before I set off? ><.

I know I shouldn't of dropped my friend in it but hey if I'm not going then he isn't. :D:D. Because that would of been really unfair and when he got back all he would of done is laugh anyway.

I was looking forward to it aswell. :( It was only a 45 minute talk at dinner then before dinner & after is all free time so it's not exactly an education as such visit & not many schools are of this week (I don't think?) so it would of been farely empty unlike the end of school year trip which is packed so I don't go.

That's what I thought, my teacher said she did check to see if we had any during this week because she knew we've got Science ones coming up but she said the exam wasn't on the board or something, still not my fault.

My mate started laughing when I went in the exam (hadn't started yet) and said "Shows how crap this school is, couldn't organise a **REMOVED** up in a brewery."

What because I didn't want him to go when he was meant to do the exam aswell? :rolleyes: Yeah sure i'll cover up for him and I'll sit the exam and miss AT.

you can not take a GCSE exam 2 days late.. you can just get the questions off a friend and know what to revise - if you retake you either do them in november with a new test or next year.

It's not a strict exam like that, we wasn't in a hall or anything we was in our classroom. It's a product design exam, we had to make up ideas and produce something (session 2 on friday we create it). We was aloud to talk to people on our table and such, there was nothing to copy apart from little ideas from people but we was aloud to do that anyway.

There was questions but they was on the design we made.. so we couldn't copy the questions anyway. If that makes sense..

Basically I couldn't use my friends answers because he's done a different design.
