is it worth buying a blackberry?

My dad company gives him one, its not really much tbh. If you want to blow your budget a bit, I suggest a PDA phone.

Yeah, I was considering a sidekick as well, they're a little cheaper, but i'm not sure if I like the design.

My dad got given 1 from work, he says they are handy as u can be on the internet anywhere, but he only uses it for emails, I suppose it is good for emails, I wouldn't know about anything else...

windows mobile 2003 <3 - it's actually pretty good! - pda runs it, it's fast and fairly reliable.

I might go for it, some ****** nicked my w800i anyway, so I need a phone, I might as well splash out, it might stop me from buying an iphone. (I KNOW I will if I don't get a phone sooner or later)

Don't get one, they are business phones really. If you want to browse the web, get a Nokia Internet Tablet - It connects via bluetooth to your phone and uses your phone for its connection. I suggest a Nokia N95 for the Phone ;)
