Bought WoW yesterday, started playing today!

Does anyone have any advice as to what to use, how to make gold and what to be? I have 2 characters atm, 1 is a Nelf Hunter and the other a human mage.

Just quest as you level up, you can get some rare drops which you can sell in the auction house for money. You learn as you level up really.

what the two above said but if you are not in a rush to level pick up some gathering proffessions like mining and skinning (both better than herbs imo)

I've beaten a 70 mage with no pet and the level 1 warlock armour, and he was trying... it's skill, not armour. Armour does effect it quite a bit though.
