ruck sacks?

And it collects steel arrows i think when ranging so you dont have to pick up.

It's from the Animal Magnetism quest and they do actually do something. :l
If you have the Accumulator back pack and above 50 range, it will collect you steel arrows. If your range is below 50, it will collect you iron arrows.

Look at the list of bones he wants, it is hung up on the outside of his hut :)

You need to get them all then speak to him, and he will reward you with a backpack,
