Due to the immense backlog in reports on the "Report Reputation Problems" thread, we have made the decision to delete all the posts and start fresh.

If you posted one before, feel free to post it again on the new one.

However, one reason we did this was for the first two pages that I did, I sent 14 PMs and deleted 5 reputation comments. Just to quickly review:

Reputation will ONLY be removed for two reasons:

1.) It is abusive. Abusive is not "Bad idea". Abusive is swear words, or very very rude words. People are reporting things as abusive, but think of abusive like this: if it was a post, would it get edited and the person infracted? If not, its not abusive.

2.) It is pointless. Pointless does not mean you don't agree or you feel that the point is invalid. Pointless is a blank -rep, a -rep saying "Lol", or a -rep with one or two words with no significance. If they make a point, it is not pointless.

Regarding revenge rep: Revenge rep for the purpose of "getting back at you" is not allowed. However, if the person gives it for a valid reason (a valid reason may be because they disagree with the principles you stress), it will not be removed.

One thing we really want to stress: just because you disagree with a rep, does not mean it will be removed. Rep is used to give opinions, and as long as it is an opinion, it is ok. The opinion doesn't have to be right, or even 100% reasonable, but the reputation system is used to convey OPINION. Please, make sure that it is abusive (swearwords etc.) or pointless (one or two words with no significance) before reporting -rep.
