Negative reputation question

Pointless reputation is concidered to be pointless when its left blank, or with words of no significance.

But what if the reputation is compleatly unrelated to the post you recieved the rep for.

Example,

Lets say I posted something negative about a Nintendo Wii, then I get bad repped and the person who gave the negative rep put a reason in like "I just don't like you" or "You scammed me on habbo" or just something compleatly unrelated to the post.

Would that then count as pointless rep?

"I just don't like you" is borderline. It depends if anything else is said.

"You scammed me on Habbo" depends if the claim has any validity, or if its given on the thread where you discussed it, etc.

What is a pointless good rep? I made a thread where people were stating how many reps they have, and you closed it? They were repping each other cos they found their posts funny. Stop trying to control this forum, rarely anyone likes you.

Mhm,I got told of for my good rep comments saying things like "Good post" and stuff like that,He even FW'd to my manager who agree'd they were perfectly normal and not agaist the forum rules at all.

There is no such thing as a pointless good rep, because nobody is going to check peoples USERCP for pointless positive reputation.

What you said about Nvrspk is completly wrong - he is the assistant general manager so he probaly does have a lot of control and power :P From what i've seen he is probaly one of the hardest working staff members.

Totally agree. He is one of the most approachable and efficient members of the staff. I often wonder when people get bad rep consistently why they don't just sit down and think about why it happens. There has to be a reason the majority of the time because there can only be a very small proportion of the membership who do it out of sheer spite.

What about the fact he removed 200 rep points off me a few months ago because they were pointless?
He also PMed me today saying I have a lot of pointless good reps.
