[ivi] Stratocaster

Been a while hasn't it ;)
This time around I thought I would have a go at a bit of doormat art just to see what I could come up with. Soon after a bit of hunting about for what I could make out of doormats I came across the Fender Stratocaster. This was the result. :D

Originally I was planning on putting a Trax machine as each of the 6 columns which didn't quite work out as no one told me that its only possible to have 1 Trax machine per room ;) I may also be adding a Trax soundtrack to the room later using the Trax machine slyly 'hidden' somewhere in the room.
I probably wont be doing any further doormat art because it's just not as satisfying to design something that's entirely 2D plus it is very costly in terms of furni. :P
Thanks to TopManTim for donating that last red plasto occasional table that I would have probably spent days looking for in various shops and trade rooms :)

Having just visited it I have to say that it is the most amazing room I have seen in months and should be a habbo room of the week. 10+/10 +rep and nice to see one of the room designing 'greats' back! =]

I like it, but the track don't look that good with it imo, but i guess it gives the effects of the strings.

If I had something that appeared as solid and as red as the stratocaster look I was going for I would have used it instead, Loz's idea is a good one about the new pura, provides the distinct red look as well as a slightly elevated shape. :)

I tried using those on a private retro I use and they do look great, unfortunately it would be an unusual coincidence if Habbo suddenly release the new pura items randomly and it would have to be in the right colour too. :P
The bit in the top right was more of a last minute thing that I decided to do and it looks a lot better with those new pura seats instead of plasto. ;)

Most of my rooms try to use furni that isn't often used or isn't often traded in an attempt to prove that they are useful in some way. This room wasn't only to have a go at some doormat art but also to try to make use of mode coffee tables and sports track. ;) Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be anything that provides the same effect of a fret board as the blue sports track.

My brother has a stratocaster, his ex's dad painted it propper fiesta red the same as hank marvins and he gold plated all the metal components.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a great fan of doormat art, but using other furniture with it in that style is a new one to me. I have it say it works extremely well.

Unfortunately, as with all rooms with an amazing centrepiece, the rest of the room is lacking. Im not sure what youre trying to achieve with the stacked pods and chairs, but whatever it is I dont think it works. The area at the top right is very basic and the safe minibars stick out far too much for my liking. Maybe section it off using bars or something? Or have that as a small disco area so you can put that trax machine to good use.

For the room: 7/10
For the centrepiece: 11/10 +rep :)

Sounds nice, most of the doormats I already had in storage, what drove me mad were the small red plasto tables and now that I've found them all, they're everywhere :S

The pillars were more last minute and were the very last thing I built in the room. Originally I had planned elaborate pillars with a Trax machine displayed in each, however, no one told me I could only have 1 Trax machine per room so I had to come up with something quick in time for the end of the week once all the music themed events and such had passed.
The seating area looks much better with the new red pura seats, once Habbo release them, I shall be using them. ;)

Brilliant room, you have the patience to wait for the furni to "pop-up", whereas I just go mad and destroy the room. Quite inspiring, may attempt some doormat art myself soon.
