Hi all

I noticed yesterday morning, that the top part of my middle finger on my right hand was extremely painful. I put it in warm salt water for half an hour last night which is ment to be good for it. I slept with a bandage with calamine lotion on it last night, and it was crusted with a pus andblood mixture kind of liquid on it. It burst at school in the morning today, and the office gave me an anestithic wipe (i know i spelt it wrong!). Its all crusty still and very painful, and im due at the doctors at 5.30. Mum says its cause I bite my nails, but people at school say its a nail infection, but i dont know. Its painful to type aswell. What is the problem with it? Its a brownish yellowish kind of crust.

All help appericiated,
Sean

The doctors will just give you some antihistamine cream.

I had this on my nail, they wont have to take your nail off unless it ingrows. Edit: Ingrows is when the nail grows into the nail bed.

In september I had a finger infection. The skin went all purple at the side, because I bit my fingers so much. I tried putting my finger in salt water but it hardly worked, but I went to the doctor's and I was given a cream and it went away after a while.
