Each idea, which is sensiable, will be repped for just trying to help.
Basically, I need a coastline which is accessable from Birmingham. Need the coastline to have quiet good facilities, such as good accomidation and I don't want it to be in Wales. The most important thing is that it's a coastline and that the accomidation in the area is very good. Bare in mind that to get to Birmingham, it's already 2/3 hours on the train, so the closer, the better!
Ideas, please? :)

Ok, not sure if I read this right but you want a beach near Birmingham? Well Birmingham is pretty landlocked but you always have Brum's Beach there. Which is quiet a joke from what I understand and waste of tax money, just a little bit of sand put in the by the city.
I don't know how far you want to travel but in Liverpool I found Blundellsands Beach. Info about it is here: http://travel.yahoo.com/p-travelguide-2831227-blundellsands_beach_liverpool-i
Sorry if I misunderstood what you wanted.

By coastline, I meant by the sea. Traveling isn't a problem, so long as it's not somewhere stupid like the tip of Scotland. Just looking for ideas on where you think is good, around that area.
(Yes, I know Birmingham is landlocked! :P)

Well there are some great beaches where I live in Australia but I'm guessing your not planning on spending thousands and looking for somewhere in the UK :P

If you want to go to a more 'traditional' seaside resort, then the likes of Blackpool/Great Yarmouth etc spring to mind.
I went down Newquay last summer, that's an alright place, not too tacky but a decent place with a mint beach.

I've been there, was alright, loads of bars. We had to park up right outside the pole dancing bar..
Filey is an alright beach aswell.
