hxhd - no change?

so like: me & aiight went to test the new hxhd.
and when we arrived we found the same old inactivity, same old faces being afk.
no responses etc, no indication that they were afk.
i thought this would be a new era?

In my opinion; the staff problem should have been sorted before the desk reopened.

Because everybody admits there is a problem with some of the staff just not being bothered.

I think if it's left a few weeks, the staff problem will be sorted out :)

It just takes time; especially if you are a new Manager you do have to get used to the staff you have, and then act if you feel someone isnt doing enough.

You can't expect it to reopen and be an instant success. These things take time.

Sure, but before they reopened they should of had a staff clearout, or done a re-interview or something. They sit there and do crap all. Habbo needs to release video cameras ;)

nope there wasnt. there should have been though.

but people were complaining about there being no desk; so they reopened it for the people.

i would have personally took my time and sorted it out. But Nvr isnt me.

Yea, I thought it was quite ironic, myself. Thats why I took the screeny =] Its a bit early to say yet but I agree Staff really need to be dedicated for this job and not be AFK otherwise there is no point to it.

I think the staff situation is fine.. as you said there was not a lot of people there, but what do you expect on a Sunday morning?

When I've been there, the staff have been active, and if I have been afk, I will have sat out the way so people knew.

Thats because it was the opening, and there was an announcement. They don't make announcements like 'x.x.x.xChipz19x.x.x.x needs help in HxhD pls sumbody elp her'

Edit:: I'm in there now, still no staff at all. Its gone mid-day, there should be atleast 1 staff.

Most staff at the desk are british , at the time you was in it isn't realy a peak time in the hotel. When i went to desk i saw you and aight dancing and a few people sitting on the sofas , not many people were there , i left after a while because there isn't much i can do without rights :(

Im just saying it would be more organised, I mean the manager wouldnt tell them to be there at a certain time, like on dj panels they can book slots of when they can go into the helpdesk, and the manager would make sure Maintime slots where filled, Imo it would be alot more organised and easier for everyone.

When I was Manager; and even more so nowadays I seem to think that staff jsut see HxHD is a place to go and sit whilst they are doing homework, or eating dinner.

There is a new system in place for the staff to ensure they are more active, so once everybody has rights, I think the Help Desk will be fine :D

You need to be patient. The help desk will not randomly become full of staff on the first full day its open. It takes time for the manager (nvrspk4) to sort things out. I understand what you mean but you don't really need any help so I am not too sure why you are complaining. You haven't given nvrspk4 any time..not even 24 hours. How is he meant to know who does the job and who doesnt if he wasn't the previous manager?

I see that I am in that picture. Whilst I am on Habbo, I am also flicking between my other windows such as WLM, emails and browsing, so I don't always see when people are asking for help. I also often forget to move over to the AFK area when I am doing this. In the future, I am going to move over to the AFK area when I minimize, to stop this confusion.

Help Desks are no longer needed, this is why mostly all help desks have gone. Nowadays people dont visit help desks for help due to Habbo/Safety eXperts, new players are learning straight away once they visit the welcome lounge.

Even though Nvr is great staff, i dont think anyone can keep this room active.

There is change going on ;) We are reevaluating every single SS member and staff member, to see if they should be on the team. We can't fire them without seeing their work. However, I made the mistake of forgetting to release the SE pass.
