Yes it does seem a bit nonsensical to have accounts left for people who sign up and use the good names then never post or log in again. It maybe policy but all policy can be changed surely unless there is a very good reason why not. I can't see a reason here and it would be a very popular decision to delete these accounts that have remained inactive for a time.

And the fact it has 0posts, 0threads is a real shame :(

The policy is that activated members will not be deleted or have their names changed, because they might come back. There could be problems with the email etc.
However we do change activated member's names if its your Habbo name, as you have a right to your Habbo name on here. In that case we either PM them if they are active or email them, as it cannot be helped because by rights you should have the name. It has resulted in several people not knowing what happened, and if we changed any name it would result in several more such occasions.

I think now that it might be ok to delete accounts that have no posts, and haven't been visited in the last 3 months or so. There might be accounts that are used just to send PMs, and that might be a annoying if they get deleted though.

Sierk has already answered this so it looks like that its okay to delete some accounts.
I think that if somebody such as Earthquake wanted a name from an inactive account then perhaps it could be looked at on an individual basis as and when needed rather then delete in bulk.

i think the rule should be changed more, i think if an account hasnt been active for like more than a year, it should be deleted. its just making habbox look more popular than it is

The problem with individual basis is that some people get accepted, and some people in similar circumstances get declined, then lots of people get angry and start moaning and the such. If there is a solid rule, it will settle the issue once and for all rather than it bouncing backwards and forwards based on individual cases.

No i meant... everyone gets treated equally but on a demand basis rather than a mass delete.
