Science Channel - Crazy?

Recently i was flicking through the tv and i seen a program called '10 ways to contact the dead' so i turned it onto that and realised some of the stupid things people were saying, at one point someone said that they know how to contact 'dyslexic ghosts' then someone said they could reach them through telegrams, but later to tell that they never got a telegram back, so HOW do they know it went to a ghost? Later someone said that they contact them through electricity, this woman (who i have to say sounds a bit odd) put a video player inside a can and later on played it back and repeated everything the ghosts were saying, she even said they were saying her name, I mean it's pretty obvious the tape was already made before that if she could repeat everything the ghosts were saying. Then LATER a woman said she levatated in the middle of the night, and when she went back down she went back to sleep again(she also said she seen elvis in a glass ball), to be honest, this program was either a hoax, or the people who were telling these storys needed some physciatric help quickly.

I'm sorry but how on earth does this improve our knowledge?
