Chapter Two – Brawling Demons
It was Sunday morning in Bardtport and Ruby had awoken to a cold and wet morning. Rain was pouring down once more and a drowsy scent littered the air. Ruby looked around the flat, after he had put his tuxedo back on.
He had a light breakfast of Bran Flakes and milk. He then went over to the door, to see letters on the floor. He turned a 20’ television on and selected Bardtport news from the TV guide. While watching the news, (Which seemed to have a special report on The Applause) he read the letters one by one
They all seemed to be ‘Payment received’ for all of them, except one.
It was in a Sky-blue envelope and it was for an ‘Mr.R’ Ruby opened up the letter very easily and read the letter.
Dear Ruby
It’s a tragedy! The Alliance with the Applause has gone horribly wrong. They need payment of a living human in order to create three ingredients. I’m sure Purple wants me to be sacrificed for just three ingredients. I’ll contact you via email from the flat computer but Pink may come today – I realise you amnesia and need to awake your lost memory in order to help me. I also know your secret but it may cause pain if I say it or write it aloud but I must. You must go to the location that I say in the email at precisely 8:34am. I write this letter at 1:23am.
Watch the skies – Sky-Blue
Ruby rushed to the computer, after turning the television off, and quickly turned it on. After entering his username and password (Which was the same as his name) he quickly checked his email. It contained an email from
[email protected] Ruby read it very quickly,
Watch the skies – Purport Street Station, 8:34 am, bring the weapon. Hurry.
Ruby shuted down the computer and picked up the suitcase. He opened the door to the wide environment of rain and gloom. He opened the Jaguar’s red door and put the keys in ignition. It did not take long for the Jaguar to get to its full power.
The engine purring, he drove in a civilised manner down the highway once more. The road signs implied that Purport was only a couple of minutes away. After about five minutes he reached the station and checked his watch: 8:00am. He waited and waited in the car but when it turned 8:20am things took a turn for the worse.
*
Purple walked through the station with his purple tuxedo dry and filled with the vital gear. He was stalking Sky-blue who had just taken a train to the station.
He knew that once The Applause sacrificed Sky to their God of Applause then The Rainbow could finalise its B.L.A.C.K project. The crowds were getting bigger all the time and Sky was keeping up his pace. Sky then went up to the ticket stand and Purple heard the conversation.
“One ticket from Kale to purport please,” asked Sky
“Sure thing, twenty pounds please” replied the ticket seller
Purple saw Sky take a cheque book out of his pocket and write a cheque for twenty pounds. After collecting his ticket he saw Sky move his eyes into a billboard. The billboard’s glass was reflective and in there he saw Purple’s reflection. Purple saw sweat bleeding from Sky’s forehead. He knew that Sky knew that Purple was there.
Sky picked up the pace towards Terminal 4514 and once at the actual station he waited impatiently – walking around to random spots. Purple followed him everywhere. Eventually the train came and Purple knew when to send Sky into a coma. A small cupboard space in the train was where Sky could plug his PDA in for charge.
When the train came whizzing past it looked like a blur. In fact Sky’s gelled hair had become unglued to its former shape. It now looked like sky-blue fire raging on a horizon instead of a few spikes in front. Almost automatically, when the train came to a halt, Sky-blue boarded it. Sky had walked into carriage 6 and Purple was pushed, by the crowds, into carriage 10.
After re collecting his position, he was pushed down on the floor, he began the task of travelling carriage by carriage
*
Sky was afraid, his heart was overloading and his brain-waves had increased. He felt lost. After eavesdropping Purple’s plan he had rushed to Kale Station through the tunnels. Orange had taken a break but Purple had continued the chase,
In a short break he had managed to write a letter to his last resort- Ruby. A volunteer for The Rainbow that killed Red on a mission in order to join, Pink had found his job records which showed he was undercover from the north-west of Wales’s police department.
Sky knew that the undercover cop had connections with The N, he knew that from The N he could stop Purple’s own project – ‘Purple’s presence’ which would make him leader of The Rainbow. Sky thought very quickly. But in the midst of the crowd within the carriage he saw Purple pushing through. He then saw in Purple’s hands his very own Purple MP7.
The train then suddenly came to a halt and the gun flew up in the hair. It landed on the floor and then the crowd saw it and rushed straight out of the carriage, Purple and Sky where left in that one room. They both dived to the floor only to see both hands and grabbed hold of the weapon. They pulled and tugged at it.
“LET GO! WE NEED THE ALLIANCE!” yelled Purple
“BUT WHY ME? WHY DO I HAVE TO DIE?!” shouted Sky
“Mr.Aqua prefers a more…QUICKER operation” answered Purple, struggling to hold the gun.
Eventually the gun went out of both men’s hands and flew up in the air. Purple watched it with his peculiarly purple eyes but while he watched Sky readied his fist and punched Purple’s ear. Purple flew back but he fell into the direction of the MP7.
Purple caught the gun as he landed and, still on the floor, aimed at Sky. With no options to go he saw Purple ready the gun then Sky looked everywhere in the carriage but still there was nowhere to go.
“Watch the skies!” taunted Purple as he chuckled menacingly
“HEY THAT’S MY GOODBYE!” exclaimed Sky, but Purple’s finger was already on the trigger.

Morgan stood on Ghana Street it wasn’t raining in this part of Wales. He looked around his environment to see a street filled with high-quality shops. Morgan was African/American and enjoyed many of his cultural heritages; he mainly enjoyed the music that his family played when he went to visit him.
Since it was not raining it was quite hot and Morgan’s dark brown skin was quite dehydrated and his leather jacket, red t-shirt and jeans felt quite dry. He was carrying with him a suitcase full of files on the mysterious ‘Ruby’ Morgan carried on walking down the street, for about three hours he had walked from The N Base to North-West Wales. He did not have a driver’s licence.
He eventually reached the NWW-PD and it didn’t look very lawful. It had a wooden fence, a crooked metal door and it was made of mouldy grey bricks. But Morgan walked past the fence and knocked on the front door. After a few sounds, someone came- an old police officer stood at the doorway, with his blue uniform immaculate.
“Can I help you sir?” asked the officer
“Yes, I’m from The N” answered Morgan
“I understand, come inside” replied the officer. Morgan entered to a huge computer room, but he only saw six officers in the room. The bricks were showing and there were only five light bulbs in the entire place.
Morgan turned back to face the old officer.
“I was wondering if I could see the chief of this police department” asked Morgan
“That’s me, John Gait” answered the old man
“Can I see you in a more private place?” questioned Morgan
“Yes, of course Mr..?” asked John
“July, Morgan July” answered Morgan

Sarah was scared; inside the oil refinery it was dark and dim and oil was oozing out of every corner. A pool of the dark liquid laid at the bottom. On the scaffolding she could see wires and pipes leaking into the night black liquid.
She was scared, wearing a black leather jacket, jeans and an itching long sleeved white t-shirt, she was still quite cold. Her gas mask protected her from the gas that originated from the liquid. She had a flashlight in her hand, but her only weapon was a MP5 which she had equipped and fully loaded.
She was frightened though, her blonde hair was lying inside the gas mask and it was producing more sweat than her forehead. She shone the torch onto the concrete scaffolding, so she didn’t fall down a hole in it. She carried on walking down it, with her breath increasing: she knew that when she found Grey it would be worth it.
While walking down the place she heard a whisper
“Sarah…I’m just ahead…come close Sarah…that’s it…one step at a time” said the cold voice. Sarah readied her MP5 and aimed it into the darkness. She sensed someone behind her: but as she turned around she dropped the torch. She was trapped inside the oil refinery, in Venezuela. She was going to die, she sensed something touching her back, while her fear raised her panic even more, she took out a box of matches from her pocket and lit them…

As the bullets came towards Sky’s face, but immediately he drew a large pale blue handled knife. He put the blade into a defensive position and sliced each of the two bullets; they flew out of his way.
“WHAT THE HELL!” Yelled purple reloading the gun
“Remember, also to watch the clouds!” Sky replied blazing towards Purple. He leaped into the air and made the blade face downwards, towards Purple’s face.
Purple rolled out of the way and as Sky fell onto the ground, Purple regained his standing position and dived onto Sky’s body, they threw punches at each other and rolled up and down the carriage, Sky eventually laid on top and wrapped his dry, sky-blue gloved hands around Purple’s neck. Purple began to choke in addition to this horrific death sequence, Purple’s face turned completely purple.
“Now I know why your called purple!” yelled Sky. But just as he taunted his enemy, Purple snatched for the knife which Sky had now holstered. He successfully grabbed it and then swished Sky’s left hip.
The pain and agony caused Sky to let go and clutch his left hip. Purple regained his oxygen and grabbed Sky’s shoulder’s he then raised his left foot and kicked Sky in the stomach. After that he punched Sky with great force once both opponents had run out of stamina they checked their injuries. Sky was bruised and had scars all over his body.
Purple only had a black eye and a few bruises.
“You’ve learned well from Red, but now the shoes on the other foot!” yelled Purple, picking up the MP7, “And also the gun!”
“Yeah well, I have tricks too!” shouted Sky and he drew the
same sky-blue berretta he had used to kill Dominic it was fully loaded. The two enemies aimed their weapons at each other, both waiting for the first strike.
Sky could hear both of their panting breaths; Purple’s was more deep showing he had a low lung capacity and maybe asthma. Maybe I’ve got a chance. He doesn’t look to have his inhaler with him; he looks to be on his last breath. Sky thought.
*
Purple stood, with Sky’s blood over his purple tuxedo, he looked deeply at Sky and thought He’s on his last life; I could kill him with one punch! He smiled devilishly at the thought. He readied both his weapons and prepared to run forward.
He saw Sky’s blood running down the left of his forehead and saw it blending with Sky’s own sweat. With time running out, Purple took a step forward and so did Sky, then he raised his gun and rested the knife by his side. Sky did the same with his gun, adding a sky-blue silencer. They both took another step forward; both of their hearts were pulsing violently.
As Sky and Purple were about to fire, the train came to an unpredicted halt, they both flew right into the front carriage wall, they both smashed into the glass of two mini-billboards.
They both heard the crunch of each other’s bones from the impact. Then they fell to the floor with blood all over their bodies. Sky regained quicker than Purple and immediately holstered his weapon and rushed outside.
His life had almost ended minutes ago, but he still had enough blood and bone to carry on up the steps. He rushed into the fully blue reception and ran through the double doors.
*
Ruby saw Sky rushing towards the car; blood was all over his sky-blue tuxedo. Sky pushed past the crowds and dived straight into the passenger’s car door window. The glass rushed with him and fell onto Ruby’s lap. Ruby stomped on the accelerator and the car rushed down the road.
“STEP ON IT!” yelled Sky
“Who are you?” questioned a calm Ruby
“I’m Sky,” calmly answered Sky
“What’s going on exactly?” asked Ruby
“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you, but I have too” whispered Sky
“What happened to you as well?” again questioned Ruby, turning a corner
“I had a brawl” replied Sky, buckling his seatbelt
“With who?” asked Ruby, turning another corner
“Purple” answered Sky, quietly
“Who?” asked a confused Ruby
“He’s 4th in command” answered Sky.
“OF WHAT?” yelled Ruby
“The Rainbow” answered Sky, but at that point Ruby suddenly yelled in pain, his brain was exploding.
