HabboxLive Version 5 - Comments and Suggestions

Hey guys,

Please post your constructive comments and suggestions on the HabboxLive Version 5 here. As you know, we have gone retro, bringing back the old styles of Habbox.com, HabboxLive, and HabboxRadio that were oh so hot back in the day :D.

All comments are appreciated, but please make criticism constructive, so we can better it :).

i think there is too much yellow, but the layout is good.

Banners a bit small, And that style don't really go with the site, Maybe you should do a skin chooser for the older version or this one, but year 8/10 welldone Habboxlive and habbox graphics team and anyone else who helped :)

Yeah that is an idea I thought about putting in, to allow users to choose between V4 and V5.

That layous phit , remi8nds me of the says i sued to tune into Dj mizki :p
The things i dislike are the font used on the drop down nav menu and blue spacers :(
Maybe have a mini version of the site where you can open it up in a pop up and all the site features are still there but still compact :p

Looks like the first ever HabboxLive one that ---MAD--- made but imporoved. I love it :)

edit: It would be nice to see Hx.com go back to this style :P

i think it's terrible. not the style, but the way it's executed. I like the borders and colours but some parts on it just don't look right.

I like it, gone back to when habbox was good, I also think habbox should go back to that, not using it cheap content management system like it is now. Bring back the old days

I dont like the bit thats surrounding the disclaimer, makes it look horrible and tacky(Same with the banner). Otherwise its good and could do with a font change on the drop down menu so it fits in with the same font on the rest of the site. :)

Yeah, to much errors, mabye fix up the banner it looks bad how it says
'Live, Life, Proud Live, Life, Proud' and keeps going on then it just cuts off into a bubble circe but the end of it is a different color and that it has like other things faded into it :P And it goes down one step after that. Last thing, is the drop-down menu font is bad.

Hm I'm not keen on it.. it's too basic. I know Habbox old was like that but I don't like it.. there's something missing. xD.

Ok so a problem that is being picked up on already is the banner and the navigation. I will try and get that sorted by the end of the day :D.

I personally thing it has too much yellow as said b4 but also loads of spelling mistakes e.g. under the homepage (where have your say is) ("Our brilliant HabboxLive DJs have reccomended" 2 c's)
under home page (habbox live productions, bottom right)
("The HabboxLive DJs all think about entering natiowide") nationwide spelt wrong...
Ok maybe not alot LOL, ermm just 2 so far :D lol but I think it is cool overall and I know there are sum spelling mistakes on habbox cus i heard maintance but anyways I am going to mention a grammer mistake
"The entrance opens at The entrance opens at 19:40. " don't make sense to me it is under habbox today at the top right of homepage...

Well, the disclaimer box and banner box look strange with two colours, the banner could do with replacing, the request line iframe needs sorting and I don't think the divider between
'Send Request :: :: View Timetable'
looks too good. the google ads need centering but apart from that its ok.

my favourite layout whas when habboxlive was habboxradio, and they had that dark blue layout.

Whole layout sucks, what where you thinking? You had a good layouts and you went to this, why?

Also save the style sheet on a diffrent page so the site loads faster.

EDIT: if you are going to keep this layouts as it's a super simple one you should use javascript to allow people to pick diffrent colour themes

I have never like that old habbox retro style and never will, very tacky.

Mmhmm.. I think it makes the site look new and like it's just been opened by people who have very little web design knowledge which isn't the case! xD Far too simple.

I wasn't too keen at first but I think it's pretty hot.

It looks better than v4 imo and also a lot tidier and the speed of the dj says is perfect :D

There too old tbh, it reminds me of habbox at first and makes me think that habbox hasnt moved on at all. Also there pretty much the same, there are only 3 and two are closely realated

Actually going around the site is pretty hard, i found it hard to find how to edit the volume of the radio on the site.
Also on the site in the middle there is too much info
i dislike the banners too tbh some are hard to read.

love it. looks alot cleaner & better than v4. i think you should keep it, one thing i just noticed though: the habbox dj production thing in the corner, the links are mixed up so like, habbox baby links to habboxaid & vice versa :)

but yeah, i like it.

I hated the "Retro" layouts of the old Habbox Site too, and still don't like it now.

Well retro is the way to go.

Banner is horrible and doesn't work (especially the text in the bubble which is extremely poor and the wrong size as it has cut bits out of its own text).
On the drop-down menus make the background the normal yellow or just a bit lighter and change the text or its size.
If more options were put down the left-side then it would be better so other options down the left or move some options to the left. For example: polls could be put down the left, as could donation lists. Then with things down the left, the middle wouldn't be so wide which would be an improvement as it looks too wide and therefore, slightly bare.

I think its a very nice layout,Maybe you could have a chooser thing that allows you to use diffrent versions like get v1 v2 v3.... That would be a exellent idea tbh

Yeah that was suggested, and we will look to implement it and maybe look into adding some sort of cookie system where it saves the preferred layout for each user so that they are taken to that layout every time.

Ok guys, a list of changes that have been made:


Banner changed to remove annoying text on top of "HabboxLive" and make the banner bigger
Habbox Productions added on a new page, and poll removed to the right hand side frame in its place
Content re-ordered in the main frame to make it look less "busy"
Navigation text and drop downs ordered into same font and font size as the rest of the site
Google Adverts centered


I am still working on adding the other versions to allow navigation between the, however they have deteriorated over the past few days, (V3 over the past few months) and need to be brough back up to speed.

Any other comments or criticism please post, and let me know what you think of the current changes made.

Tbh, I like it better than V4. It's lovely how we're going back to 'retro' habbox but I just think it needs a little 2007 kick in the booty if you know what I mean? Like, sure retro is sexy but like someone posted earlier, it does sort of look like we haven't moved on much. So basically what I'm saying is, keep the retro but spice it up a bit. How? I don't know, I'm not creative :) But I know Adam is .... ;)

IMO, drop the yellow ;) makes the site look too dark.

Also, I would put the radio player underneath the buttons (just above dj says).
Maybe, DJ Pages :P and add a bit of spice to the HabboxLive logo!

I was shocked when I typed in Habboxlive.com into my browser today, just what were they thinking :o It looks really tacky, bad fonts, lack of colour, its just... just get v4 back, please...
