Does the owner own the website and its solely owned, not run by a 3rd party company etc... like godaddy & WWD. If its a reseller who are they reselling for?

Namecheap is a reseller of enom, you can tell by looking at the Whois of namecheap.

You can go to many places,

enom.com (http://www.enom.com/pricing.asp#reseller) you have to put a deposit of $1495 to open the account, or pay $195 to open the account (domains at $9.95)

godaddy.com - (http://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/wwd_landing.asp?ci=9057) they cost $99 a year.

I do offer a free reseller service, you dont need hosting, its hosted for you.
