View Full Version : Shoutast radio HELP

I recently installed the following plugin:

On www.chathabbo.net (http://www.chathabbo.net) . It worked fine yesterday but today it just keeps saying server offline even though the actual shoutcast is still working as you can listen to it on

I have tried re-insatlling it , re entering radio detials but nothing works so please help

Do you own the server it is on? Because if not, some hosts have firewalls which block scripts like that from connecting to the shoutcast server.. and so if the ip isnt on the firewalls allow list, it is unable to grab the radio status. So contact your host and ask them to check this, and if this is a problem get them to add your shoutcast ip to their allow list. They may charge for this, some hosts do. If this isnt the case then make sure you are entering the correct details. About all i can suggest, hope this helps :)

I know for sure that ius true what the person above me said,SpeedHosting do that but if you message them they normally remove it just for your system thing

Have u changed the pwd u use to broadcast?

if so u need to change the info in the forum hack.

Any password/ Ip's that have been changed will need to be updated and ask yur host if any php/ firewalls problems have happened.

The one your shoutcast server uses... however i see you are using a url to connect, however ive checked and the ip is... 72.36.215.210 so try that :)

So we need to contact our forum hosting and tell them to ad 72.36.215.210 ?

Deans resseller hosts us so erm

Yeah just ask them to add that IP to their firewalls allow list. If you are hosted on a reseller, then you will need to contact the actual server owner.

you will have to go to the company you purchase your reseller off.. as for obvious reasons resellers don't get access to firewalls etc
