I think we should be able to Hide our psot counts, because recently people have been moaing about the amount people spam, and imo this will stop people from being targetted because of their post count
we can hide our rep... so hiding our post count will mean no harm

There was a nice little post made by Jin a while ago regarding the use of hacks and why Habbox dont, basically its a security risk as it changes certain parts of the Forums coding.

I dont know the skin part of VB but couldnt you just remove a line of code from the skin or would it all have to be removed?

A usergroup which ANYONE can join in Usercp, and add a simple "if" command around the postbit so it ONLY shows if IN the usergroup, though in usercp you can get rid yourself and your postcount will not display.

Simple and i did it before (Y) without hacks.

That actually makes it sound pretty feasible and its not a bad idea considering that its just an extra option that some users may want, similar to the way the reputation option already is. :)

Indeed, it could also be done to the memberlist, profiles ect :]

That is because we don't delete any posts...has nothing to do with your post count.

Theres no reason to hide your post count and its not possible to do it by default on vBulletin, sorry.

I'm rather confused on why people say that, the software ALLOWES you to use the command on anything to delete including threads, posts, along with 100's at once let alone more. :rolleyes:

Actually, this is a pretty reasonable request. The only issue I see is the possibility to do so. I don't think its necessary to install a hack for it, but if there is a means to do so, it should become an option.

You can't just add it as a secondary group for the if tag to work it would have to be the primary group.

However I am sure I have read that you can connect profile fields to the forum, so you can not use hacks and just slightly adjust the template code. I'll have a look now.

I guess seeing you do use more usergroups though the profile field would be the best, and can be done easy with a small snippet of code really.
