Try changing the java applet to the Windows applet at the bottom of the detail choice page... If it works then you know it is your Java there is a problem with.

If it is your java there is a prob with.... Uninstall java, Restart PC, Re-download/Install java. Test it on another java based game. Then go to RS and try again.

If not just keep using windows based applet until you get a solution ;)
