Not bad for a paintjob, I would suggest downloading CS3 from the Abode website, you just need to register for your 30 day trail.

Well done on your very first layout, great effort for a first try. Try to expand on that next time and make the layout a little more complex and eye catching. Well done though! + rep. :)

I agree with Colin - it's a nice layout but there is too much blue - you should make the background transparent and see what it looks like then.

Thats a awesome first attempt, well done.
Same as everyone else has said tbh, maybe some image for a background?

Transparent in paint? Oh yeah, that will work.

Layout: Good try at your gradients, but you've completly over used the blue. Put a white or something in the content boxes, make it more eye catching and slacken off your gradients. :)

Off-topic: Hi Scott!
Hi Richard! (Did your account get banned Richard?)

Anyway, there has been a critical case of "Hue Abuse" within this layout.
There's only one solution for it: USE A DIFFERENT COLOUR.

P.S. TheMagicMen, you don't ALWAYS need a white background.
Plus you're suffering from "Shift Key Abuse Syndrome" (SKAS)

The common cure for this is to remove your shift keys and your Caps Lock key (in case you get tempted to press it every freaking time you type a word).
