Scamming has really increased since being able to buy and sell accounts. And since we can't name scammers, the poor people who got scammed and want people to be safe, can't say one word? I know I have no right for this as I am currently selling a account because I bought it now I wanna sell it, because I started from scratch but the Black Market thingy should really be scapped. It's really made people turn on there friends and just scam. And we can't name scammers so, we loose out twice.

It's been said a thousand times, please scrap the "Account trading" :).

Agreed completely, but isnt going to happen.

Why exactly was the account trading rule introduced?

well hopefully with the unsafe traders post coming hopefully scamming should decrease or stop in all, ive already got one on the list :).
I think it should stay, this isnt a runescape fansite runescape can't do anything, you trade at your own risk.

After watching for the past week, I do actually agree with this, and would like to see the rule put back in place, for no account trading. Naming scammers isn't allowed, and that probably won't change, but with account trading removed, it would probably help the situtation in that Forum.

Just my quick point of view.

You say this yet you have a thread in the RS section selling your account?

When the new rule was put into place, I remember Sierk posting to say that he wants people to think for themselves and not be treat like kids. Though, I do agree with you and think that it is a scammers gold mine.

that they will try to get a untrusted list going.

Nah don't ban account trading, its at your risk, we now have a unsafe list so people in away are being named thanks to my request *Bows* so don't ban it you do it at your own risk. :)

Thanks

the addition of the list made me laugh, especially with the amount of defence that the admins have put into the "no naming scammers" policy over the last year or so. Talk about giving in to pressure -.-

Nothing to do with "giving into pressure". We simply felt we had to find a work around since it seems scamming was high even though we did say (and will continue to say) any trades that are done, are done at your own risk and the end result is 100% your responsibility.

This list will be run by the forum members but updated by youheard :).

The main reason we do not allowed people to name scammers is because of the arguments it causes. Since members have to PM youheard, arguments will not start between members (or are less likely to).
