Good for you, but why the hell do we need to read this?
There is a wide market for Games sites due to them being frequently blocked at schools and colleges. At my school alot of people play games but are running out of sites to visit so I think this really does have a potential to become popular.

Im sorry but you don't have a clue. EVERY SITE EVER STARTED HAS POTENTIAL TO BECOME POPULAR. Its a shame that people on Habbox know nothing about marketing, SEO etc. (Excluding a select few)
Sites are usually blocked by certain factors including domain name, domain keywords and a few others. In my area anyway

I tried to sell one on SP but they wouldn't take it for $20 and I'm not too fond of DP.
I'll just stick to small stuff because I'm not that good anyway.

DP is the shizzle. And that $20 one, well lets say the site it was based on was pretty well broadcast on SP.

I do have a clue, say I created a site about pink umbrella making it has a very small market so has virtually no potential. This site has a real potential if its aimed at the right audience, for example people who play games at school generally are boys so they dont want to visit a pink site with girly games they want a site that probably looks high tech with games you can play quickly and dont take ages too load.
Also I do know how they block sites thats why you dont call it www.gamessite.com (http://www.gamessite.com) and thats why www.mathshelp.info (http://www.mathshelp.info) took like a year too get blocked at my school. You could also add a system like a proxy site has [cant remember the name of it] so you have to refresh 3 times or whatever for the game to show.

A site about pink umbrellas still has the potential to get popular IN ITS OWN NICHE. Thats why if I start a games site I don't advertise on hardcore **** sites. Why would that audience want to play games?

Mathshelp.info? That is idiotic. You want a game site to be about games, not mathshelp.info. It's not just school it's played and it's most likely going to be played at home.

People who play games, who are they? Well generally they are still in education, many people get bored whilst at school and turn to games, the only unblocked ones are the rubbish ones that everyone hates at my school so why not make one with a different name that doesnt get blocked.

A games website without game or arcade or something along those lines sounds dodgey.

Would they? Do you know that for a fact? Who the hell cares about everyone in your school. They're peanuts compared to what makes a website get money. If there isn't good games on it, people don't use it. How can you even tell what this website is going to be like, and how can you generally class everybody in your school? You can't. Simple answer, yet so complicated to get into your head.

My school is an average school in Britain so if people there use it so generally if they knew about alot of people would. By what you are saying market research wouldnt work atall. I cant generally class anyone in school but mathshelp.info was the proxy that everyone used and if you ever went in to the IT room loads of people were using it.

It's very sad how the ''majority'' of your school goes on computers at break instead of being outside and socialising with your friends. And you CAN'T say that EVERYONE in your school will use it. You don't even know what the **** is going to be on the damn thing, let along know how it will run etc.

Lol - At my school we have a mixed variation of people. We have people who go on the computers at break. People who play football. People who play cricket. People who climb stuff and get detentions (My group). And the Jackass/Skaters (Again My Group). You cant define like 1000-1500 pupils as ALL USE SOMETHING as it would need to be studyed by survey. Oh yeah another group The Studyers :o.
