Taken from AngryApe:
Foo Fighters have not only named their next album, but they have also revealed the track listing for the record - their sixth studio LP to date.
At 12 tracks in length, the band have selected Echoes Silence Patience and Grace as the album's title and eager fans won't have to wait too long to hear it, as the group deliver the the release on September 25th.
Echoes Silence Patience and Grace is the first new Foo Fighters material since their 2005 album In Your Honour and those fortunate enough to attend their intimate Camden shows last week, will have already heard the songs.
Track Listing:
01. The Pretender
02. Let It Die
03. Erase Replace
04. Long Road To Ruin
05. Come Alive
06. Stranger Things Have Happened
07. Cheer Up Boys, Your Makeup Is Running
08. Summer's End
09. The Ballad Of The Beaconsfield Miners
10. Statues
11. But Honestly
12. Home
Personally, I've only heard one song (#7), and it wasn't very good. But hopefully the entire album will be good. And also, it looks like they dedicated a song to the Beaconsfield Miners' collapse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaconsfield_mine_collapse). I hope it's better than IYH

Grohl was on Radio 1 the other day, he did some acoustic riffs to some of the new tracks but didn't reveal the album title!
And yeah, the Beaconsfield Miners' song is dedicated to 1 of them (at least) - something to do with the fact that 2 of them were asked what they wanted, and those particular 2 said "an iPod full of Foo fighters stuff" and grohl was informed, took an interest and promised those 2 a ticket to ANY gig they wanted. After 1 of them used their ticket, Grohl wanted to meet him (& did) and they got drunk and he said he would put it on the next album. (So he stuck to it!)
Yeah long boring story but true! :)

Very interesting news. I hope they won't be letting us down, though Dave Grohl seems to have changed his hair again (boo, his 'Best of You' hair was better) and seemed a bit more 'fierce' at Live Earth, though he did have tonnes of energy so hopefully he was just ecstatic haha!
The Beaconsfield Mine Collapse happened on my birthday last year :(

Can't wait for the album. I just hope this one doesn't get leaked early onto the internet.

Well, lets hope for the best.
Leakings aren't what effect album sales anyway. The new Shins album was leaked 5 months before it was released and it went to #2 on the charts.

in the UK.. I imagine that Rhianna song which I hate just EVER so slightly has been downloaded umpteen times (and the rest) on limewire.. and it's been No.1 for 8 weeks now? (:|)
Loads of stuff is leaked, always is. Some people download it first and then purchase it when it is released. Some people see leaking as "What they're going to get" so they know whether to fork out £8-10 on it or not!

People who get leaked albums are either 1) Fans who are going to buy the album anyway or 2) people who would just download it once it was released anyway. So they dont really effect sales.

I disagree. It'll probably marginly reflect on the sales. Say if there is a hugely hyped album and it turns out to be crap, people aren't going to buy it if it's been leaked. However, bands often get around this by releasing a song that has a huge impact and based on that 1 single they get many sales. For example, Linkin Park's album was hugely hyped up and when leaked many people thought it was totally rubbish. However, because of the overly-played and really liked song 'What I've Done' many people (who don't use torrents) bought the album based on that 1 song.
It'll get leaked on the internet but I won't be torrenting it. If I want to see if it's a good album I'll give them my money for their hard work.

Not quite, because leaked albums are only hyped or flopped through word of mouth and various small time internet sources, which most people dont get their major reliance on.
