Hey i had nothing to do so i decided to make comments on the current rules and suggest changes to them...:eusa_whis
Changes i made are in Pink - Rules that i think need to be changed or scrapped completely are in Green

-----

A6. Do not post your or anyone Else's photo anywhere on the forum - The reason for this is yours and others own safety as some people may start stalking you or bothering you in other ways - It is however ok for you to post photos of Yourself via Link (Not Embedded on the Forum itself)

A24. Don't post any information or links to information about updates or new features on Habbo Hotel that have not yet been officially introduced by Sulake - It is allowed to post about new features / updates on other hotels, but not about new things that have not been brought into the public by Sulake in any way. This is on Sulake's own request.
[You often get images of new furni posted from retro servers.]

A26. It is not allowed to talk about adult subjects like making love / sleeping with somebody or sexual details in anyway - Because this forum is meant for people of all ages, and teenagers in particular, it is NOT allowed to talk about subjects that could be not suitable for younger members. It is allowed if you have a warning in the Thread title.

B1. Don't send Personal Messages to Habbox staff or Habbo X's that they haven't asked for - Do not ask for friend requests or anything else. If you need urgent help on Habbo Hotel use the call for help button and wait in your room.
So you need permission to ask someone a question? :l

2. Everyone has a right to make alts, don't say otherwise - Everybody is allowed to make alterations if they want, posts like 'Stop making alterations!' are not allowed on any level and will get you into trouble.
[Pleke.. He got banned and put on the auto ban list for making multiple alterations.]

4. Do not ask your alteration to be moved to the Elite alterations section - Moderators will move what alterations they think deserve to go there, it is their decision not yours.
[There is now a section for this.]

I can see what you are saying with this rule however I feel it wouldn't really stop younger children from reading this anyway? Lots of parents wouldn't want their child reading something explicit and would probably be even more annoyed if they found out they were reading it off what is supposed to be a Habbo forum for people of all ages.

Personally I agree with this rule change, I think that is a good idea. :) I don't think posting a link to an image of yourself is that bad as its your decision however posting other people's photos should remain against the rules as you said.

They are my feelings on them two rules, I'm not sure what the management will think about this but you've made some good suggestions there, well done. :D

People do that anyway and no action has been done to them so i updated the rule.

It was stated in a announcement that it was ok to link to a image of yourself - so once again i was just updating.

For rule A26, the warning in a thread title seems somewhat of a pointless measure, would it not be easyer to simply say that the "teens (and older members) categorys exempt from this rule completely?

That way adult matters are kept of the main forums, but in those forums which it is appropote for such matters to be discussed, the people who want to discuss it are allowed to. As a warning really makes very little difference to anything imo "/

I swear that when the rule of linking was allowed, they said that they couldn't control what people linked things to? Or something like that.

I think the habbo X part of B1 should be removed. Some people might want to ask a Habbo X a trading question but are worried they might get in trouble, the user can just put them on ignore if there is a problem. X's aren't really celebs so much on the hotel at the moment. :P

or make that section of the forum hidden to anyone under a certain age. sure, people might just change the age on their profile, but if parents see their child on that forum, they'll also see that they've changed their age so the can go on it. and if you put a warning in the forum description thats like 'ONLY [AGE] YEAR OLD MEMBERS CAN VIEW THIS FORUM' it also adds to the protection

but tbh religion comes into it and it would still be upto the parents at the end of the day as they might not think there at the right age when habbox does
