That's right, It was announced a while ago on halloweenmovies.com but I forgot to make a thread about it. It's got Rob Zombie directing and is a re-make of the original instead of a further sequel.
UK Cinemas October 27th (Subject to change apparently)

It looks okay for a remake of the definitive slasher, but I don't see why they all have long hair, I'm sure psychiatric wards don't let you have long hair lol.

It's looking up to be good, with some great actors.
You missed out Brad Dourif, he's playing the cop. The cop has a bigger role this time, and Brad Dourif is perfect for the role. Imagine the voice of Chucky talking to Myers, if he does...
This may be good, but Zombie is an idiot. He said he wants to remake it because he loves the original, but no point spoiling whats already great.

huh? it would be the exact same thing? there is no point to a remake. why would you need to show that it was a great success... by remaking it?
yh but when it was first recorded it was awhile back if you get me

Lmao, you are right their, Rob Zombie is probably going to ruin it, although I do have high hopes for this one, mainly because of Brad Dourif!
I was never a big fan off Halloween though, but if they remade A Nightmare On Elm Street or Child's Play, I'd be ******.

The original in 1978 was a good enough film. It does not need a remake of it. I wonder if this means they will remake the 2nd film which carries on directly after the first?

It's possible although movies these days are usually much longer (Halloween is 87 minutes and Halloween II is 92 minutes). I'd imagine if you cut the flashback bits from Halloween II (The bits at the start that showed what happened at the end of the last one they could put them both together as a single long film.

One of the best things about Halloween was the "he got away" ending, rather than a typical good defeats evil ending. I like Halloween 2, but it'd just bring Halloween down if it were attached onto the end.

But I suppose if you've seen Halloween 4 you'd know he isn't dead but that's a very good point you made.
