Under "header" where all the js coding is, delete it all.
Find in the header:-
<!-- logo -->
<a name="top"></a>
<div align="center">
<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
<tr>
<td> <a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php$session[sessionurl_q]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></a></td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>
<!-- /logo -->And delete. The tip above was hopeless and incorrect.

It wasn't hopeless. In my header all I have is <center>img</center> and it's perfectly fine.

Yes as you'll be removing the spacer code which displays the rest and keeps the style within vars ect. removing it all lets the style and forums appear, disappear as will. You break the chain when removing them, Snex was right.
