The Shins - Wincing The Night Away (http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=281;1;-1;-1&sku=607208)
Modest Mouse - Good News For People Who Love Bad News (http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=281;1;-1;-1&sku=200524)

Those albums are both great. GNFPWLBN is one of my favorite albums ever. their new album is great too.

I can never predict what I buy. probably the new Foo Fighters, even though I dont have great expectations. and probably some other stuff I cant think of at the moment

I bought The Enemy - We'll Live & Die In These Towns on Monday. It's a great album. Sort of reminds me of early Libertines mixed between Arctic Monkeys. They sound great and are a really nice & great band. The album is quality, and they've released 2 cracking songs.

I quite like the look of the new Chemical Brothers album. And Kooks new stuff is sounding rather promising. I wanna get The Maccabees - Colour It In which seems like a good album.

Yeah my mate said he isn't so fond of The Enemy. They're quite different, yet still fit into that current "genre". I love Precious Time, such a great song! I'll send you a pm, cheers. How did you get it signed?:o! Simian Mobile Disco are quite good actually!

Waiting for Jack Penate to release an album, still TBA at the moment. I've liked him since hearing Spit At Stars a few months back & Torn on the platform is great. Might also have to get The Kissaway Trail - self titled purely because La La song is so awesome.

Totally agree with The Enemy thing. Absolutely love the album (I've got a thing for this new wave of indie bands with heavily accented singers). Although I don't get The Libertines thing, if anything I'd compare them to bands like Oasis and The Twang.

As for The Maccabees, their album is just amazing. All I can say really.

Speaking of alternative Maccabees songs, I'd recommend downloading "Just Like The Rain" which is a cover version and the b-side to First Love. It's immense, and better than a lot of the songs on the album.

Their sound is a bit like early Libertines, obviously not the vocals but the general feel about the band. They have that Libertines type of 'edge' about them, and the lead singer sorta reminds me of Pete after seeing him on MTV2 @ the Orange Festival thing. But I agree they are more like The Twang (another great band & album) with this new indie stuff.

Must admit the Twang's album is great. The Neighbour is probably my favourite song on the album.

Have you got The Enemy's album yet? Listen to the track 'We'll Live & Die In These Towns' and tell me he doesn't remind you of Doherty. He sure does to me especially in that song!

I think that The Twang are incredibly bad to be honest.
They're like "'ERE, WE'RE FROM BRUM AND WE'RE GONNA KICK YER FACE IN LIKE"
And the Jakobínarína B-Sides are "Water Wasser Everywhere" and "Waterwater"
omg water!1

That's a good track, but definitely not my favourite. Wide Awake and Cloudy Room are my favourites :)

& yes I have got it, and I guess he kind of does. That's actually the song I find myself listening to most on the album. It's genius.
