Wow, it really sucks - The whole mumbled procedure, the awkwardness of the pulling - clipping - pushing and wiring, and theyve kinda left jaggy edges. I dont think i can get used to these things, anyone else?

you can ask your orthodontist to clip off the jagged ends.

and they'll get a lot better, promise (:

In time the jaggy edges will flatten out.

Your mouth will adapt to the braces and it will all be fine.. :D

they hurt for a while, unfortunately. especially when you first get them on. i couldnt eat anything but pudding for a week. when you get them tightened, it hurts for about 2 or 3 days. And in between they barely hurt at all.

I nearly got the braces for a year and it used to come annoying but now its ok!
But after they put the elastics - next 4-6 months after you got them, the elastics hurt, when i mean hurt they really hurt!

It's like getting a filling, after it you notice it alot but soon your mouth adapts to it.

I felt like that, i got mine last wednesday and i can eat fine!

You do get used to them, i know how you feel. And if there still jagged within like a week when youve got used to them, use your wax that they give you.

Isn't their braces what you can take out to eat and put back in, and their not really that visiable, I saw it on a episode of family guy :s
