Hey, I have seen the recent thread on opensourcehost and I find it 100% apauling!

Jay is a fabulous moderator, so are most of the MOD's on this forum.

I find it appalling to the other 2 members putting down Jay need to do research before upsetting a fabulous moderator. Habbox have done very well in hiring the right MOD's. Jay is one if not the best MOD on HXF.

I am 100% sure allot of other members will agree.

So for that. My feedback is well done habbox in hiring the correct staff to take habbox back to its fame.

Yea but thats just biased, Opinions of a forum shall be open, thankyou for bringing this up, Some people will argue he may interfere in other threads, And some will say welldone for doing extra work.

People will only argue if they are unhappy with there infraction or think it is unfair. So they 'hate' that MOD for it. I think it's childish and they need to grow up. Just shows how many people can't stick to rules and accept there punishment.

But hey! It is a teenage forum. Kids everywhere!

EDIT: Also to add to that, you know as well as I do, children moan about anything and everything. I feel sorry for Habbo when they ban the person.

There is nothing wrong with Jay at all. He is an excellent member of the team along with all the rest.

People are just criticising because they arnt getting their own way. Alot of them expect to be able to break the rules and get away with it. But that is no the case, you don't know how to do the job, or what it involves untill you actually take up that position.

It's so simple to abide by the rules, why some choose not to is beyond me.

Exactly. This also proves my point on why I am appalled from the thread where 2 members put down Jay.

You can be infracted for pointless posting.

Post such as 'ssbadbsad' or 'Hi' or none relevant one word comments are to be dealt with. Even though it's a spam section, it's not an lets just post randomly and for the beans of it forum.

And you don't actually know wether the post was infracted or not do you! You can only see the edit, just becuase there is an edit does not mean there is always an infraction or warning.

I can confirm that the only infractions that were distributed during that thread were infractions for bulling, inappropriate language and insulting forum members.

There is no infraction for pointless posting. I removed that months ago as it was far too harsh. We do ban people if they constantly do it though as they just takes threads off topic and gets very annoying for users who are contributing to a thread.

I think he meant can't.

Indeed. I think mods / smods / admins are attacked the most because users usually deny they broke the rules. Obviously we all mistakes which is why we have a thread were users can report unfair / incorrect infractions which can be reversed :).

I do think this forum has improved though moderating wise. Before you would get a thread about a moderator's action like every week, now it is very rare and that may be because of the new systems in place or because of the mods hired, or off course both.

Smods check every single infraction given out. Smods check other smods infractions (they do not check their own for obvious reasons) which does increase the speed that an unfair infraction is reversed.

Obviously new moderators have a lot to learn so they may make quite a few mistakes at the start until they get a hang of things :).

Moderators have improved a lot on this forum I believe and I hope people agree with this as well (I am not saying this just cause I am the forum manager). I truely do believe the systems in places are helping decrease harshness and increase awareness from moderators and I hope you do too :D.

you gave one to rafiki for 'pointless posting' - in the spam forum? well, you're a bit of an idiot, aren't you!

thanks for aiming this thread at me by the way, in my opinion he's a bit of a moronic moderator. get over it already.

As already said, there is no infraction for pointless posting therefore there is no way I could have possibly given out an infraction for pointless posting.

I did edit someone's post as I felt it was completely pointless just "=D,=D" etc. Maybe I was wrong about that, I will be more careful when I look at pointless posting in the spam forum in the future. Sorry, if I caused any issues with that but at the end of the day it was simply a moderator edit so from the users point of view it is not something to be worried about and is not recorded against them in anyway, its just a way of reminding people they broke a rule. :)

can i recommend moderators remember this rule?

C17. Do not make off topic posts - Off topic and random posts are not allowed. Your post must be related to a post made earlier in the thread or about the thread itself.

http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=377386 that thread obeyed that rule and got closed.

Jay you are a very dedicated moderator and probably one of the the least likely to make a mistake as you are always so careful and particular in your work. :)
