Seems ok, although background and main layout colours are to simlar, i personaly think you need a bit of contrast between the colours, so as to make the main content sections appear more clear.

Looks alright.. maybe umm..

Try not to use a pink design combined with a same pink as background, try dark gray or something as a background. Dark colours combined with pink look better as there is more contrast
Try to make your own logo, believe me, i can't count anymore how many times i have seen that standard included logo with photoshop.
I see like some wierd colourd lines going trough the design, maybe give them a different colour ?

edit; these gray lines
http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/6795/linesxf4.png

I'd either use very light pink or dark slightly darked pink for them lines

Overall i'd give that an 7/10 - 7,5/10
Good job

My second critique ... Back to laugh
You may not know me, but Im an **** that is REAL about design, and the lack of people's ability.

1. Purple ... Not good ... Especially when thats nearly the ONLY colour
2. The Flur-Elise arn't correct. You've stretched them ... When you are drawing a shape with the pen toold hold the SHIFT key, so that they keep their dimensions. Its an aspect stretch
3. It's all bg and bulky ... Not attractive
4. The text ... Use standard fonts, with real sizes, and the NONE, SMOOTH, CRISP, etc, boxes, set to NORMAL ... Its a more realistic view

To sumarise, its a bulky design, that needs some attention to correct it's masses of errors

Why are you making someone elses portfolio?

I was making a template for them as they requested me to.

Its not bads but not my taste at all :). Firstly you have afew nav's which makes it look messy. For a portfolio design keep it simple and keep the navigation links in one area. Also the font is too big and the heading ">>> Home" etc are too far in.

That is completly insane, unless it's a portfolio of a coder, photographer or composser.
